Star Wars fans have always had a lot of opinions about their beloved franchise and its characters.

George Lucas’s original trilogy years, when moviegoers first met Jedi Knight Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill), Princess Leia Organa (Carrie Fisher), and Millennium Falcon pilot Han Solo (Harrison Ford), were relatively free from controversy — short, of course, of the “Han shot first” debacle — and Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back (1980) is still lauded by many as the best film in the Skywalker Saga.
While it could be argued that things got more divisive after Disney’s Star Wars sequel trilogy — namely Rian Johnson’s Episode VIII – The Last Jedi (2017) — we can’t forget how people felt about Jar Jar Binks (Ahmed Best) and Anakin Skywalker (Hayden Christensen) during the prequel trilogy era.

To be fair, people have warmed up to Christensen, in particular, with the passing of time and the actor is now set to reprise his role as Darth Vader alongside Ewan McGregor’s Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi in Deborah Chow’s upcoming Obi-Wan Kenobi series.
Nonetheless, with every Star Wars movie or series that releases, there are always things the Lucasfilm faithful would do differently if they were in charge (instead of, you know, Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy).

Since Walt Disney Company CEO Bob Chapek has confirmed that Kennedy doesn’t seem to be going anywhere anytime soon, fans are left to “fix” Lucasfilm only in their imaginations. Now, one viral Tweet is giving the Star Wars community that chance.
The original Tweet, shared by YouTuber Ally Cortes, read simply:
You wake up as the head of LucasFilm [sic: Lucasfilm], what’s the first thing you do?

Unsurprisingly, comments almost immediately turned to the Gina Carano (Cara Dune) drama behind-the-scenes of The Mandalorian. KrispyNoKen had a lot of thoughts about how to alter some of Lucasfilm’s recent decisions:
Apologize to Gina Carano, bring her back for Rangers of The New Republic, scrap The High Republic, Put the Sequel Trilogy & Solo in an alternate timeline, change Legends back to EU and make it the main canon timeline, put The Mandalorian timeline fits in with the EU.

A Twitter user going by Madam Morgan had a unique take and is clearly in the minority when it comes to Rian Johnson’s future involvement in the Star Wars universe (spoiler alert for disgruntled fans, his trilogy is still in development):
I scrap TROS [Episode IX – The Rise of Skywalker] from canon. I call #RianJohnson & hand him the keys to episode 9 & beyond. #BenSolo [Ben Solo played by Adam Driver] is alive! A variety of darkside origin films/series content. #AdamDriver & #FinnWolfhard hired for Ben’Kylo stories & #SebastianStan [Marvel actor Sebastian Stan] as new era of #LukeSkywalker stories.

Senor Baggins wants to go way back in the Star Wars story, to a thousand years before the Clone Wars in what could actually be an amazing series:
Do a Star Wars TV series on all of the other Sith Masters up to Palpatine following the adoption of “The Rule of 2”. Start at the end of the Jedi Sith War a thousand years before the Clone Wars with Darth Bane.

Edge Case and WordSlinger want to bring a lot of the Star Wars Expanded Universe into canon, which, intriguingly, is what Mandalorian showrunner Jon Favreau and executive producer Dave Filoni seem to be working towards with the introduction of Grand Admiral Thrawn and, potentially, Luke Skywalker’s Legends wife, Mara Jade Skywalker:
Case said:
Put Filoni in charge of all storytelling.
Figure out a way to redeem the “storyline” in the sequel films.
Make a limited series about Luke Skywalker (played by Sebastian Stan) searching out Jedi artifacts and teaching Grogu.
Write a better story about Finn becoming a Jedi.
WordSlinger responded:
Add the Solo twins, Mara Jade, and do the Heir to the Empire trilogy with Grand Admiral Thrawn, ysalamirs (force-negating field), and build off of that. Can still have Finn and whomever else.

Ken from Chicago has thought up a rather…intense…way to introduce Star Wars Rebels‘ World Between Worlds (we were just going to go with a storyline in Rosario Dawson’s Ahsoka, but you know):
In the wake of destruction of Palpatine and the Final Order, one Snoke clone barely manages to survive, filled with rage at the Resistance AND Palpatine, it scours the galaxy for a Sith temple to conquer death–and finds it.
With it he unlocks the door to … THE PAST!
