Now that the live-action Ahsoka series has finally found its Sabine Wren in 27-year-old actress Natasha Liu Bordizzo, it’s got us wondering whether the titular Togruta Jedi herself is also due to have an actress step into her boots. While Rosario Dawson will be reprising her role as the character in the upcoming Star Wars series, having previously appeared in The Mandalorian Season 2’s “The Jedi”, it’s possible that another actress will also be needed.

Very little is known about Ahsoka at present, although the more it takes shape, it appears to be turning into a live-action sequel to Star Wars: Rebels, especially with Sabine Wren now set to show up. It’s also expected that Ahsoka will be searching for Ezra Bridger, as he disappeared at the end of Rebels along with Grand Admiral Thrawn – and we already know Ahsoka is looking for Thrawn, as she says so The Mandalorian.

But if Ahsoka does need yet another actress to don those montrals, whether it’s to recreate a scene from Star Wars: The Clone Wars or Star Wars: Rebels in live-action, or to simply fill in the gaps during the character’s more elusive years between the two animated Star Wars shows, then we’ve hand-picked some potentials! Whether she’s in her teens, twenties, or thirties, here are six actresses who could play a young Ahsoka in the upcoming series.

6. Natalia Reyes

2019’s Terminator: Dark Fate was a critically-panned mess, which seems to be a running theme with Terminator sequels these days (although you can say the same about Star Wars!). It wasn’t all bad, though, as its hero Dani – played by 35-year-old actress Natalia Reyes – gives a stand-out performance, even against the likes of Hollywood veteran Arnold Schwarzenegger.

While Reyes is underused in the film (despite the fact she plays “the chosen one”), she proves herself more than capable on the battlefield, which is definitely a requirement for playing a Jedi. Not only that, but she even bears a resemblance to Ahsoka in Star Wars: The Clone Wars – so much so that she was part of a ‘fan casting’ long before we ever scouted her!

5. Rachel Zegler

Rachel Zegler is a rising star, as she’s set to appear in Steven Spielberg’s remake of the classic West Side Story, Shazam! Fury of the Gods and a live-action Snow White. Needless to say, she ticks a lot of boxes – athleticism, agility, superhuman qualities, and an existing relationship with Disney!

The 20-year-old actress would be perfectly cast as the fan-favorite Jedi Knight Ahsoka Tano and would be best placed to play her during the Star Wars: The Clone Wars years, leaning more towards the latter end, in which Ahsoka is in her late teens.

4. Laura Harrier

31-year-old Laura Harrier is best known for her role as Liz in Spider-Man: Homecoming and Spider-Man: Far From Home. While she’s not in the second one a great deal, she’s Peter Parker’s love interest in the first, and despite MJ (Zendaya) being part of these movies, it’s nice to see a fresh face after seeing so many films focusing on Mary Jane.

Harrier would make a perfect Ahsoka Tano, and while her age would more than likely position her during the Star Wars: Rebels era (in which Ahsoka would also be around 31 years of age), the actress looks a lot younger than she is and would perhaps be better suited to filling the Jedi’s boots during the Clone Wars era.

3. Florence Pugh

In just a few years, Florence Pugh has made quite an impression in the film industry, acting in movies such as Fighting With My Family (2019) and more recently Black Widow. In the MCU film, the 25-year-old actress plays Yelena, sister of Natasha Romanoff (sort of), a character who became an instant hit with fans.

It’s plain to see that Pugh can do anything she puts her mind to, and is evidently no stranger to fighting, having been in the wrestling ring and performing gravity-defying stunts in Black Widow. She’s also pretty charismatic in most of her roles, which is a quality we think she’d definitely bring to the role of Ahsoka.

2. Halee Steinfeld

Long before she became a more mainstream actress in 2018’s Trans-Formers reboot Bumblebee, Halee Steinfeld wowed critics in 2010’s remake of True Grit. Since then, she has appeared in the Pitch Perfect movies and even lends her vocal talents to Gwen Stacey in the animated blockbuster Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (she’s also a successful popstar!).

Now, the 24-year-old is set to put her archery skills to the test alongside Jeremy Renner in the upcoming MCU series Hawkeye, as a character known as Kate Bishop. Steinfeld has long since proven her ability to blend personality, humor, and action, which are all necessary qualities to playing a character like Ahsoka Tano.

1. Naomi Scott

Like Steinfeld, 28-year-old actress Naomi Scott is a successful musician who has also enjoyed a colorful movie career. Scott got her big break in 2017’s Power Rangers reboot, in which she plays one of the titular superheroes. She even gets to show off her incredible vocal talents as Princess Jasmine in Disney’s live-action Aladdin, and stars in the Charlie’s Angels reboot too.

Scott is an extremely talented actress, and who better to play a Star Wars: Rebels-era Ahsoka Tano than someone who’s no stranger to performing awesome moves on both alien and human foes, piloting spaceships, and being a Disney Princess!

Believe us when we say that the fact most actresses on this list already have a working relationship with Disney is purely coincidental! But whether or not a younger version of Ahsoka Tano will even appear in the upcoming live-action series remains to be seen.

There are many ways this can be done, though – flashbacks, dreams, or even time travel, which might come as no surprise given the rumors about a possible time jump in The Mandalorian, which Ahsoka will run alongside.

Who do you think could play a younger Ahsoka?
