The may have a light tone, but it’s still seen its fair share of death and destruction. Here’s a comprehensive list of all of the d , from films such as and Spider-Man: Far From Home!
It’s important to note that a good chunk of these characters (especially the heroes) have actually been resurrected. However, even if they were snapped away by Thano’s and brought back from The Blip during Avengers: Endgame, it still counts.
Interestingly, Marvel tends to kill off its villains and have them stay dead. Only a handful of Marvel baddies are still confirmed as alive such as Zemo and Abomination, who will reportedly play major roles in an upcoming Disney+ series. Anyway, without further ado, let’s see who hasn’t been so lucky in the Marvel universe!
MCU heroes who have bitten the dust
Groot (Guardians of the Galaxy)
Lovable Groot is the first MCU to be given the honor of being killed off. This Guardian of the Galaxy dies nobly and peacefully protecting his fellow heroes. He later leaves behind a new Groot (AKA Baby Groot), who is also killed off. Groot can’t catch a break, apparently!
Pietro Maximoff / Quicksilver (Avengers: Age of Ultron)

Just moments after being officially welcomed into the Guardians of the Galaxy clan, Yondu suffocates while saving the life of his surrogate son, Peter Quill / Star Lord. I’m not crying; you’re crying!

Gamora
Gamora has one of the saddest deaths in the . She too dies at the hands of , but this time it’s personal. The purple villain throws her from a cliff on Vormir to obtain the soul stone. She is never revived, but in an alternate timeline, Gamora turns up in Avengers: Endgame and is presumably still running around the galaxy.
Vision (Round one)
Despite the valiant efforts of the . and co, the Avengers just run out of time. ends with Vision bravely stopping from purging the when he allows Wanda Maximoff to destroy

You might forget this meat-headed footsoldier from Thor: The Dark World. Kurse is a magically altered version of Algrim. He joins the long list of when stabs him and tricks him into entering a black hole.
Jasper Sitwell (Captain America: The Winter Soldier)
Known for being the subject of a meme, Sitwell is thrown out of a car by a brainwashed Bucky Barnes during Captain America: The Winter Soldier.
Alexander Pierce (Captain America: The Winter Soldier)
“Mr. Secretary” makes a surprise appearance in the past in Avengers: Endgame. However, in the “original timeline”, Nick Fury guns him down. He dies uttering the words “Hail HYDRA”.

Killmonger’s dad is killed by his uncle T’Chaka in a flashback sequence towards the ‘s end.
Ulysses Klaue (Black Panther)
Age of ‘s secondary villain returns in . Andy Serkis plays the South African vibranium trader who is eventually killed by Killmonger. He gives his corpse to the Wakandans as part of his rapid rise to the throne.
Erik Killmonger (Black Panther)
Sadly, one of the best MCU villains only lasts one . He dies from injuries sustained in the final battle with T’Challa. However, he’s heavily rumored to reappear in II.

The third member of the Black Order meets her untimely demise at the Battle of Wakanda. She’s up against Black Widow but is thrust into an oncoming vehicle by Scarlet Witch. Hardcore.
Corvus Glaive
The Black Order’s final member is killed by a pained Vision when he stabs him with his own weapon before he can take down .
(Round one) (Avengers: Endgame)
The himself comes to a sticky end during the prologue of Avengers: Endgame. When he reveals that he destroyed the infinity stones (meaning the Avengers can’t undo the snap), a furious Thor beheads him.
Nebula (Avengers: Endgame)
“Endgame Nebula” is killed by regular old Nebula during the battle at the Avengers facility over a fight for the Stark .

Peggy Carter (Captain America: Civil War)
lives to a ripe old age but unfortunately dies of natural causes during Civil War. Fortunately, they are reunited when Steve decides to spend his life with her in the past through another MCU timeline. ‘s soulmate
The Ancient One (Doctor Strange)
The former Sorceror Supreme is killed by Mads Mikkelsen’s Kaecilius, leaving Stephen Strange to take up the position. She turns up in Avengers: Endgame to give Bruce Banner the time stone in the past.
Odin (Thor: Ragnarok)
Thor and gives his sons a final goodbye before dissolving into gold dust near the beginning of Thor: ‘s father .
Volstagg and Fendral (Thor: Ragnarok)
Two of the Warriors Three are easily dispatched by Hela when she invades Asgard. They join the ranks of the dead MCU characters and don’t seem likely to reappear anytime soon.
Hogun (Thor: Ragnarok)
…Aaaand, unfortunately, Hogun isn’t far behind. It’s sad to see these characters from the first Thor killed off so quickly.
