Both Disneyland and Walt Disney World Guests cannot wait to join the Resistance in an epic battle against the First Order in a high-tech, immersive experience Disney fans had never seen before.
Disneyland’s beloved theme Park is home to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and the Guest-favorite attraction, Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. Disney recently removed the virtual queue, and one Disney fan has a hack to avoid a long standby wait time.

Back on November 22, Rise of the Resistance at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disneyland Park stopped the use of the virtual queue (AKA boarding group) system and instead allowed Guests to wait in a standby queue to ride the attraction.
Disney CEO Bob Chapek announced that the popular FastPass+ service at the Florida and California Disney Parks would be permanently retiring, with the new digital planning tool Disney Genie launching on October 19 to mixed reviews.
With the standby line now running on Rise of the Resistance and Web Slingers: A Spider-Man Adventure in Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure, it seems Disney Genie will be coming to Disneyland Resort soon. Walt Disney World Guests can purchase Lightning Lane to skip the standby queue for an extra $15 per person.
Since the attraction opened in January 2020, at 7 a.m. and 12 p.m. PT daily, Disneyland Guests could race to attempt to secure a boarding pass for the Star Wars-themed ride, which features sequel trilogy characters like Rey (Daisy Ridley), Poe Dameron (Oscar Isaac), Finn (John Boyega), Kylo Ren (Adam Driver), and the adorable droid BB-8.
Crowds have poured into Galaxy’s Edge to join the standby line, with the wait time reaching over a whopping two and half hours only 30 minutes after opening on November 22.
Now, a TikTok user has revealed her hack for riding the attraction with little to no wait time.

The TikTok user explains her early morning hack for riding the popular Galaxy’s Edge attraction:
“Rise of the Resistance tips without the virtual queue. First,we got to the Disneyland gates at 7am, and they let us in at 7:30.
Stay to your left! The line forms at the Frontierland entrance. You are not supposed to run. Once Disneyland officially opens, the Cast Members will walk you onto the attraction. We got on in 30 minutes! It was worth it.”
Essentially, waking up early is your key to not wasting time waiting in a long standby queue for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. On a day when the theme Park opens at 8 a.m., it appears arriving at the Disneyland gate at 7 a.m. is a must.
It seems you need to be an early riser to ride Rise of the Resistance.
