Areas to Avoid in EPCOT

If you are wanting to visit EPCOT, you should know one of the busiest sections of the theme park is the Mexico pavilion in World Showcase. Home to La Cava del Tequila, San Angel Inn, and La Cantina de San Angel, Guests pour into this area to get their hands on some delicious Mexican cuisine.

Though this attraction doesn’t seem to be one of EPCOT’s more popular rides, the area tends to get crowded — especially at both park opening at park closing. Spaceship Earth is either the first attraction Guests see as they enter the park or the last ride they will pass by when leaving, making these two times of the day very crowded for this ride.

The China pavilion, though the main pathway can become crowded, if Guests actually step foot inside the pavilion and walk into the back area, there are rarely any crowds. This is the perfect spot to sit down, relax, and soak in the atmosphere without being surrounded by tons of people.

Yes, sometimes this area can get busy, especially being home to Soarin’ Around the World. But with it being inside in air conditioning, and with it being spacious downstairs, Guests will almost always be able to find a seat, even if it’s in a back corner somewhere.

I, personally, love grabbing a drink, sitting down at a table, and people-watching here.

Though Rose & Crown Pub can draw some Guests, this pavilion is so spacious that there is plenty of room to visit without dealing with the crowds. In fact, if you venture into the back of the pavilion, you will find an entire area that not many people visit. Grab a snack and a beverage of your choice, sit down, and just relax!

If you are looking to visit Disney World on your next vacation, there are some things you need to keep in mind. First, health and safety protocols have been added to the theme parks. These include social distancing markers, the requirement of a proper face covering, encouragement of Mobile Order, temporary suspension of meet and greets, parades, and fireworks, and more.

Additionally, Disney has a new Park Pass reservation system that requires those who wish to visit a Walt Disney World theme park — Magic Kingdom, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, EPCOT, or Disney’s Animal Kingdom — to have both a valid ticket and a reservation for the park they wish to visit on that day.

At this time, the Disney Park Pass system currently allows Guests to book available theme parks through January 2023, indicating that theme park reservations are not going away anytime soon, so Guests should get familiarized with the system if they are wanting to visit the Most Magical Place on Earth.
