Every Star Wars fan knows and loves Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker, the iconic Jedi Knight hero whose story finally comes to an end in Star Wars: Episode XIII – The Last Jedi (2017).

What many fans of the Star Wars universe may not realize, though, is that Hamill, who is an accomplished voice actor, has done cameos in every Star Wars movie except the prequel trilogy. This includes Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (2016) and Solo: A Star Wars Story (2018).

After news broke that Hamill had a voice cameo as Mos Eisley cantina droid bartender EV-9D9 in Season 1, Episode 5 (“Chapter 5: The Gunslinger”) of The Mandalorian, the legendary Star Wars actor took to Twitter to confirm his numerous cameos over the years.
Hamill shared with Star Wars fans who follow him:
“Now that @themandalorian secret is out-might as well reveal I am vocally represented in ALL SW films except the Prequels. Thanks to @matthewood for using me in Rogue One, Solo & the Sequels, so I DO have lines in #EpVII. Hint: Look for parts played by Patrick Williams.#TrueStory.”

During a 2017 interview, Hamill said, “If I did have billing, in the past as a pseudonym I’ve used a combination of my brothers’ names, and I call myself Patrick Williams.”
Then, in July 2021, Hamill reconfirmed his cameo appearances with a new Tweet in response to a post from the official Wookieepedia account:

Hamill, of course — or, at least a CGI version of his younger self during the original trilogy Star Wars: Episode VI – Return of the Jedi (1983) era –, also famously appeared in The Mandalorian Season 2 finale episode (“Chapter 16: The Rescue”).

The lightsaber-wielding Jedi Knight heroically waltzed back into the Star Wars universe, saving Grogu, Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal), Bo-Katan Kryze (Katee Sackhoff), Koska Reeves (Sasha Banks), Cara Dune (Gina Carano), and Fennec Shand (Ming-Na Wen) from Moff Gideon (Giancarlo Esposito) and his Dark Trooper squadron.

While we don’t know what’s next for Hamill’s Luke Skywalker in the Star Wars story, it seems like the iconic character’s tale is not over — rumors currently abound that he will either appear in The Mandalorian Season 3 or get his own spinoff series, alongside his Star Wars expanded universe wife, Mara Jade Skywalker.

Wherever we see “Baby Yoda’s” Jedi Master yet, Luke’s return was a key turning point in whatever is next within The Mandalorian saga.

In the final film of the Skywalker Saga, Star Wars: Episode IX – The Rise of Skywalker (2019), “Patrick Williams” voiced Boolio, the Ovissian alien who delivers crucial information to the Millennium Falcon, then gets killed by the First Order soon afterward.

In The Last Jedi, Hamill not only plays a major role as Luke Skywalker but voices alien gambler Dobbu Scay, who is best known for treating fan-favorite droid BB-8 as a slot machine at the Canto Casino while Finn and Rose search for the master codebreaker.
