Many will agree that Moon Knight is a career-defining role for Oscar Isaac, but the Emmys gave him the wrong nomination.
The Marvel Cinematic Universe exploded with the arrival of Stephen Grant/Marc Spector/Jake Lockley, one of the most chilling and thrilling characters to join the MCU during Phase Four.
With actor Oscar Isaac (Dune, Ex Machina, Star Wars) making his superhero debut (again), every Marvel fan couldn’t believe his jaw-dropping performance throughout the six episodes of the Disney+ series. Though Moon Knight came to a close and Marvel Studios is yet to announce a second season, countless viewers are ready for more Oscar Isaac.
Now, Oscar Isaac has scored his first Emmy nomination, but not for Moon Knight:
Congratulations to Oscar Isaac of #ScenesFromAMarriage for his #Emmys2022 nomination for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Limited Series.
— HBO (@HBO) July 12, 2022
Oscar Isaac has earned his first Emmy nomination for Scenes of a Marriage with co-star Jessica Chastain, undoubtedly one of the most landmark original series to hit HBO Max yet.
Nonetheless, some fans feel that this Emmy nomination should have gone towards Isaac’s Moon Knight performance:

Another fan writes:
We were robbed, Oscar Isaac totally deserved an #Emmys nomination for his performance in #MoonKnight

One Marvel fan writes:
#MoonKnight was robbed at the #emmys2022 … Oscar Isaac was so fantastic, it’s insane he wasn’t nominated

While fans are insanely proud of Oscar Isaac’s first Emmy nomination for HBO’s Scenes of a Marriage, there’s no debate when stating that Isaac’s trio of characters in Moon Knight proved one of the most excellent Marvel performances to date.
