While breakout star Grogu (AKA Baby Yoda AKA The Child) and bounty hunter Din Djarin’s (Pedro Pascal) poignant scenes, like their Season 2 finale goodbye, have touched the hearts of viewers, the action and adventure keep Disney+ subscribers coming back for more Mandalorian week after week.

The adventures of showrunner Jon Favreau and executive producer Dave Filoni’s unlikely band of companions — including New Republic Marshal Cara Dune (Gina Carano), Bo-Katan Kryze (Katee Sackhoff), Ahsoka Tano (Rosario Dawson), Boba Fett (Temuera Morrison), and Fennec Shand (Ming-Na Wen) — have reaffirmed Star Wars fans’ love of the franchise.

Just this morning, the hit series received a Golden Globe nomination for Best Drama Television Series and social media is going wild with reactions. In September of last year, The Mandalorian won an Emmy Award, so its success is only continuing to skyrocket.

Leading man Pedro Pascal started things off when he reTweeted the official Star Wars account’s post and wrote:

GOLD BABY!!! Congratulations #MandoFamily

The Mandalorian deserves a Golden Globe!!! So does Pedro Pascal!!!! The show is good and what it is because he carried Din to absolute perfection. Sad he’s not nominated.

Fans will get to see their favorite lone Mandalorian gunfighter back in action when The Mandalorian Season 3 airs, probably sometime in 2021. The third season and two of its spinoffs — Ahsoka and Rangers of the New Republic — are not on Disney’s 2021 release schedule.

Another spinoff, The Book of Boba Fett, will hit Disney+ in December 2021.
