Even though Marvel President Kevin Feige’s Star Wars movie isn’t likely to release for quite some time — it is currently set to debut after both Patty Jenkins’s Star Wars: Rogue Squadron (2023) and Taika Waititi’s as-yet-untitled Star Wars flick — that hasn’t stopped fans from chomping at the bit for details about the project.
Feige himself, though, true to form — he is known for going to great lengths to keep Marvel Cinematic Universe projects under wraps — has remained almost completely mum on details about his foray into the Star Wars franchise. Until now.
Feige recently spoke to Collider about his Star Wars movie and confirmed a key (yet somewhat random) detail about the plot. The conversation went as follows:
What is the status of your Star Wars script with Michael Waldron?
Kevin Feige: In the works, in progress.
Can you at least say, is it a solo movie or is it one of these things that could be a movie and a Disney Plus thing?
Kevin Feige: It’s not about Han Solo. Han Solo is not in it, though.
It is unclear if Feige was joking after he was asked if it’s a “solo” project or if he actually thought he was being asked about Han Solo — made famous by Harrison Ford in the original trilogy and played by Alden Ehrenreich in Solo: A Star Wars Story (2018) — but, nonetheless, we now have our first notable detail about Feige’s Star Wars film.
