We knew the conclusion of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Spider-Man trilogy would be intense — after all, there’s a lot to explore in the final film of Tom Holland’s current contract — but, now, we also have confirmation that the movie will be the longest solo MCU movie since the franchise began with Iron Man (2008).
Ingresso , a Brazillian ticketing service owned by Fandango, has listed Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures’ Spider-Man: No Way Home with a runtime of 2 hours and 39 minutes. This would make the threequel the longest solo movie in MCU history and the second-longest MCU movie ever, only behind Avengers: Endgame.
No Way Home is expected to be the first MCU movie to fully explore the Marvel Multiverse that was introduced in the first season of Tom Hiddleston and Owen Wilson’s Disney+ Original series, Loki.
Joining Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017) and Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019), the official description of Spider-Man: No Way Home reads:
For the first time in the cinematic history of Spider-Man, our friendly neighborhood hero is unmasked and no longer able to separate his normal life from the high-stakes of being a Super Hero. When he asks for help from Doctor Strange the stakes become even more dangerous, forcing him to discover what it truly means to be Spider-Man.
Holland and Zendaya (MJ) are joined by Benedict Cumberbatch (Doctor Stephen Strange), Jon Favreau (Happy Hogan), Marisa Tomei (Aunt May), Jacob Batalon (Ned Leeds), and Alfred Molina (Doctor Octopus) in the film.
What do you think about No Way Home‘s long runtime?
You can stream Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow and the four series in Marvel’s Phase Four so far — Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany’s WandaVision, Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan’s The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Tom Hiddleston’s Loki, and Marvel’s What If…?— on Disney+ anytime.
