With all of the drama The Mandalorian faced on social media throughout Season 2 (we know you probably followed the Gina Carano saga, too) tonight’s turn of events is a refreshing one.

Titular Mandalorian Din Djarin is played by Pedro Pascal, a Chilean actor who had a successful career as characters like Prince Oberyn Martell in Game of Thrones and Agent Javier Peña in Narcos, even before he joined the Star Wars franchise.
Today — perhaps on the heels of The Mandalorian being snubbed at this year’s Golden Globe Awards ceremony — some Twitter users decided to get #WeLovePedroPascal trending. And, the social media love didn’t go unnoticed by The Mandalorian leading man.
Pascal, apparently having noticed the trending Tweets, posted:
Um…#ILoveYouMore. Goodnight.

Other posts, however, were poignant — proving that the actor has had a big impact offscreen, too. Ju shared:

Rachel Leishman also shared a heartfelt tribute to the star:
I don’t normally do these things BUT I wanted to participate in the #WeLovePedroPascal trend because the last few months of this quarantine have been rough and my personal saving grace has been @PedroPascal1‘s filmography so a day celebrating him and his brilliance is lovely!!!

What’s next for Din Djarin?
As The Mandalorian Season 3 approaches — the show is set to film in April 2021 in Los Angeles — bounty hunter Din Djarin’s future is uncertain. During the Season 2 finale episode, the popular Star Wars character completed his two-season-long quest to deliver Grogu (AKA Baby Yoda) to the Jedi Order, by way of Jedi Knight Luke Skywalker.

Although nothing has been confirmed by Mandalorian showrunner Jon Favreau and executive producer Dave Filoni at this time, it seems the most likely scenario is that Djarin — who won the Darksaber in battle with Moff Gideon (Giancarlo Esposito) — will have to find a way to grapple with the fact that he is now the de facto ruler of Mandalore.
He is also likely to square-off with Bo-Katan Kryze (Katee Sackhoff) at some point during the third season of the hit Disney+ series. Kryze is desperate to legitimately earn the black-bladed saber so she can re-take Mandalore, avenging, in her own way, the death of her sister, Duchess Satine Kryze.

We also know that spinoff series Ahsoka, Rangers of the New Republic, and The Book of Boba Fett will all be interconnected to The Mandalorian Season 3. This means there are literally dozens of storylines that can be explored in Favreau and Filoni’s corner of the Star Wars galaxy.
As for Pedro Pascal, he most recently starred alongside Gal Gadot as villain Maxwell Lord in Patty Jenkins’s Wonder Woman 1984, which released to movie theaters and HBO Max. It was also just announced that he will star in HBO’s upcoming adaptation of The Last of Us.
What do you think about Pedro Pascal taking the time to respond to his fans today?
