If you have been starved for more Mando, we have some good news! New reports indicate that The Mandalorian Season 3 could begin filming in April. April is sooner than we previously anticipated.
There is currently no debut date for the third season of the series and it does not appear on the official Disney 2021 release schedule.
Season 2 of The Mandalorian left us with so many questions! What will happen to Grogu? Will we see more Luke Skywalker? Will Din Djarin have to fight Bo-Katan over the Darksaber?
The information of a new filming start date comes from reporter @ScottGustin on Twitter who shared this:
Season 3 of The Mandalorian will start filming in April.

This listing for the filming of The Mandalorian states it was updated 1/25/2021, making this more up to date information than our previous report of filming beginning in August. It is important to note that Lucasfilm and Disney have not yet confirmed any production details.
So, what can we expect from Season 3? I believe that Filoni and Favreau still have a lot of Din Djarin stories to share with us, especially surrounding Mandalore and the other Mandalorians.
This could lead to Bo-Katan Kryze becoming more of a main character in The Mandalorian storyline. Bo-Katan did not get an announcement of an individual spin-off series like other characters such as Ahsoka Tano (Rosario Dawson) or Boba Fett, (Temuera Morrison) which is another indication the character may take a stronger role in The Mandalorian.
Bo-Katan actress Katee Sackhoff has not yet confirmed her involvement in The Mandalorian Season 3, but has indicated that the story of her character and the Nite Owl warriors is not yet over.
We cannot wait to see what comes next in the epic Mandalorian series!
