Perhaps they wanted a hard set deadline for reopening and the repairs to this animatrinic are taking longer than expected? Maybe it was completely destroyed and the replace.ent isnt completed yet?
This is nothing new. The dino at the beginning has been hidden before because it needed a lengthy repair/refurbishment. It will be back at some point in the future.
