Netflix’s Daredevil couldn’t use the “real” print-comic canon, to avoid treading on the Ben Affleck movie’s canonically-correct territory, and had to use the “alternate” Frank Miller-verse where DD didn’t have radioactive powers or internal sonar.
(Sort of for the same reason we got that weird alternate ’15 Fantastic Four, that couldn’t use the “real” canon from the ’05 movie.)

Like using Tom Holland to bridge canonical gaps between Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield’s alternate Spiderman origins, MCU will probably keep Charlie Cox but reboot his origin/powers back to the Ben Affleck-verse, where he can interact with other actual Marvel heroes and villains.

(And the picture reminds me of the story Stan Lee told about dealing with a black-ninja Daredevil in TV’s “Trial of the Incredible Hulk” because red photographs terribly on TV:
Seeing the design of early DD with a blindfold over his eyes, Lee pointed out that DD has “eyes” in his costume mask because he doesn’t want the bad guys to find out he’s blind…”Uh, he IS still blind, right, we haven’t changed that too?”) 😉
