I first saw Fantasmic! in its original location and format at Disneyland in July ’92…it was amazing. I understand it had to be “toned down” due to complaints from parents that it scared their children. If so, that was a shame because it was “fantastic” as first presented to the public.
We first saw it at Disney World in 1998. We were stunned by movies projected on fans of water spray. We were thrilled by the whole thing. Being originally from Virginia, we wagged our finger at seeing John Smith swing Tarzan-style across the cliffs. Seems California filmmakers can’t believe that the East Coast of Virginia doesn’t have rocky cliffs. Oh well. Anyway, we anxiously await the re-opening.

I won’t be watching it because I don’t patronize evil companies that blame stalking and assault victims. #BanDisneyFromFlorida
