Marvel has a multitude of Hollywood stars appearing in its successful array of movies and television shows.
From Robert Downery Jr. and Scarlett Johansson to Chadwick Boseman and Tom Holland, Marvel Studios manages to attract a vast range of popular actors.
Now, it seems Kevin Feige has managed to secure a legendary comedic actor for future MCU projects.

We reported back in January how the well-known comedian Jim Carrey was currently being eyed by Kevin Feige as the latest “big-name” addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Well, now it seems a leak has revealed that Carrey will be starring in the Marvel Universe, and sooner than we thought.

According to a recent post from the moderator team on the Marvel Studios Spoilers subreddit, Hollywood actor Jim Carrey has been cast as Marvel villain M.O.D.O.K. for multiple upcoming MCU projects:
Jim Carrey cast as MODOK for multiple Disney Plus shows, possibly as early as She-Hulk (We’ve also been told recently that MODOK appears in Ant-Man 3, but that’s unverified. This user also stated that Jonathan Majors listens to his Kang theme song on set)
The leak revealed Carrey will appear in multiple MCU series, potentially as early as She-Hulk, coming to Disney+ in 2022. The source also states that Carrey’s M.O.D.O.K. will appear in 2023’s Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, although that casting remains unverified.

It’s unclear if Carrey would be introduced as the final version of the villain or George Tarleton, the A.I.M. scientist who eventually mutates into M.O.D.O.K., with his oversized head.
Created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, M.O.D.O.K. (or the Mental Organism Designed Only For Killing), leads the villainous organization known as A.I.M. (Advanced Idea Mechanics) which brings together evil scientists from across the Marvel Universe against Earth’s Mightiest Heroes.
MCU fans may recognize A.I.M. from Iron Man 3 (2013). Iron Man/ Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) faced off against A.I.M. and Aldrich Killian while dealing with his traumatic experiences in Avengers (2012).

Disney’s sister streaming platform Hulu latched onto Marvel’s recent television successes with What If…?, Loki, and Wandavision, with the release of claymation series M.O.D.O.K., which premiered on Hulu on May 21, 2021.
Hulu’s M.O.D.O.K. starred Patton Oswalt as the voice of the villain and has a far different and significantly more humorous take on A.I.M. than in Iron Man 3. Marvel’s M.O.D.O.K. — about a supervillain struggling to balance his company and his family — was moderately well-received during its first season, but it has not currently been picked up for a second season.

Carrey is best known for his comedic work in films such as The Mask (1994), Ace Ventura: Pet Detective (1994), Dumb and Dumber (1994), The Truman Show (1998), Bruce Almighty (2003), and his famous holiday movie How the Grinch Stole Christmas (2000).

It would be interesting to see if Carrey performs the role similar to how Josh Brolin played Thanos in Avengers: Endgame (2019). Jim Carrey performed using motion capture previously as Ebenezer Scrooge in the animated holiday movie Disney’s A Christmas Carol (2009), also starring Colin Firth and Gary Oldman.
