Ever since The Walt Disney Company — who has owned Marvel Studios since 2009 — obtained the rights to Daredevil characters from Netflix last year, fans have been wondering when these fan-favorites will make their respective debuts in Kevin Feige’s Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Numerous rumors, for example, have indicated that Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock/Daredevil will appear in Spider-Man: No Way Home alongside Tom Holland (Peter Parker/Spider-Man) and Zendaya (MJ) — though this remains unconfirmed.
Perhaps even more rampant at the moment, however, are reports that Vincent D’Onofrio’s Wilson Fisk/Kingpin will show up in Marvel Studios’ Disney+ Original Hawkeye series, which aired its first two episodes last week.
D’Onofrio has been vocal about his desire to reprise his Daredevil role, and the actor has now spoken out on Twitter about a supposedly “leaked” image showing him on the Hawkeye set:
Well it’s a really bad job from someone trying to make it look like me. This guy in the pic is more handsome I think.

While the Men In Black alum seems to have debunked that he appears in this exact image, it certainly doesn’t mean he won’t show up in later episodes of Hawkeye due to the fact that Alaqua Cox (Maya Lopez/Echo) has been confirmed as a major player in the MCU series.
In Marvel Comics, Echo is Kingpin’s adopted daughter — and a frequent adversary of Daredevil himself.
When Daredevil ended on October 19, 2018, many Marvel fans were disappointed. Over the course of three seasons, Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock/Daredevil, Deborah Ann Woll’s Karen Page, Elden Henson’s Foggy Nelson, and D’Onofrio’s villainous Kingpin had become immensely popular.
Therefore, their return in Kevin Feige’s MCU is highly anticipated.
