Boarding groups for Web Slingers is just nonsense and is not needed at all. The hype for the attraction is pretty much over and I think maybe they might get 60-90 minute waits if they just did standby lines, and even less at certain times of the day. If folks can wait that long and more for Radiator Springs then let them do the same for Web Slingers.
As for Rise, yes it is more needed but forcing people to get up early and then have seconds to get into the “lottery” is just insane. Personally I think that will end when Disneyland (and WDW) start to implement whatever paid Fast Pass system they go to but I wish it would end now and again, let folks wait in line or have the CM’s hand out the old style Fast Pass tickets for a return time if need be.

Absolutely agree with you. There’s only the need for it, with Rise, because the attraction itself, is so much more of an experience, than an actual ride.
When you can say that Web Slingers is similar to Toy Story Mania, and Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters, then there’s no mystery, with how it is.
But there’s no way to describe Rise, except to experience it, yourself.

Does this also apply to Rise of the Resistance? Cause that ride is really sick and I wouldn’t mind going on it again if I could.

Yeah I was just there and I was told by staff after I was all ready …fingers itching at 11:59, and then the second it turned 12 on the dot I tried and tried and tried refreshing like I was told to do to even stand a chance and in a matter of seconds it was filled I did that for 7 as well but was told flat out the the 7am will always be reserved for V.I.P.’S…theres gotta be a better way

I don’t know where you got the idea that 7AM is only for VIPs…we went for two days and got the 7AM passes both times. And we had friends who went a few weeks earlier and got in at both 7 and 12.

7am isn’t reserved for VIPs. We’ve gotten boarding groups at the 7am slot every single time we’ve tried. Both in Anaheim and Orlando. We close all apps. Make sure signal or WiFi is solid, have somebody counting down the last 5 seconds, and click join group. Some have good look with refresh, but clicking the button has always worked for us so we never changed it. In less than a second we click thru both screens and it hasn’t failed yet, in roughly 10 tries. So not sure who told you anything about 7 am being reserved for VIPs, but it’s not true. Good luck next time.

Not sure where you heard the mistruth that 7am is only for VIPs. Like others, we also got in with no issues at 7am..Just have all apps closed and all folks in your party ready to try at 7am. It is possible without being a VIP.

Except at Disneyland the Rise of the Resistance keeps breaking down. It broke down 5 times last Thursday.

I took my family down to Disneyland from Vancouver Washington to expressly see this ride, was there for 2 days, had 4 cells all trying to get on. In less than 2 seconds…SOLD OUT… i paid a lot of money for a family of 5 to fly down, rent van, tickets, food, etc, only to not be able to ride what WE PAID FOR! We will never travel to Disney again, we will take our vacation $$$$ elsewhere… I feel Disney owes me a refund at the least, if not more
