Disney’s Lady and the Tramp remake and the Disney+ original show, Star Wars: The Mandalorian, were both nominated for Visual Effects Society Awards. Disney+ received the nominations for its original content after going live less than two months ago. But they are two of 14 Disney assets to earn at least one nomination.

Star Wars: The Mandalorian
Jon Favreau’s Star Wars epic that brought us the adventures of “Mando” and “Baby Yoda” earned six award nominations. And, yes, four of these are specifically for “The Child” (aka “Baby Yoda).
The Mandalorian was nominated for the following awards:

- Outstanding Created Environment in an Episode, Commercial, or Real-Time Project (Nevarro Town)

- Outstanding Animated Character in an Episode or Real-Time Project (The Child; Mudhorn)
- Outstanding Model in a Photoreal or Animated Project (The Sin; The Razorcrest)
This number ties the show with Game of Thrones for nominations in the TV-series categories.
Lady and the Tramp (2019)
Disney’s straight-to-streaming remake of their beloved animated classic also earned two nominations of its own.
