I don’t understand why they did this – it really added to the theming of the area – Jungle Cruise and Indy. If this is to make way for the POTC line, then I would’ve gotten rid of Genie Plus and LL first. That’s whats causing these artificially long wait times.
There were a few reasons, one of which is that it was not up to par. A guest was walking across the bridge and their foot went through a piece of wood. People weren’t really going up into the treehouse much, in fact many didn’t even know it was something to go through. They will be bringing it back, with a “new” theme, but changing it has nothing to do with the Pirates queue, especially since right next to that part of the treehouse was stroller parking. Prior to 1999 the second “tree” and the rope bridge weren’t even there.
