  1. We were at Disneyland this Friday, as well (Dec 10, 2021). We had the same experience. Although no problems with genie, I was hit with strollers, my 10 year old daughter was almost trampled by several adults who just didn’t care, tons of people shoved in front of us and her to the point where she couldn’t see anything. One lady right before the fireworks tried to help us and got the attention of the lady blocking my daughter that was also almost stepping on her, but the lady screamed at the nice one and tried to fight her. It was just awful. You could see the stress on the other parents faces trying to keep their kids safe from the crowds of people who didn’t give any cares, as well as the CM’s who had to deal with it. I apologized to people even if it wasn’t my fault but all I received in return was hate and glares. My daughter almost was trampled several times sitting down waiting for the fireworks, even the parade and we were in the back by the ropes. We ended up having another mom next to us block her kid and mine with her stroller. Too many close calls. We would get yelled at when asked to move the stroller so someone and their boyfriend could walk through us. Even walking, or in lines, people were just hateful and rude. Shoving others out of the way, even small children. I can’t even tell you how many kids I watched fall because adults cared more about themselves. On another note… Genie+ with LL worked for us this weekend. I’m not really sure how I ever lived without it. Way better than Fast Pass. At least for us.

    1. This is so sad. It’s even too much for CM’s to manage and kick people out. Kind of glad we weren’t able to go this holiday season. People just be nice, don’t be jerks! May lbe Disney needs to cut back on reservations. IDK.

      1. Tamara J Engel

I agree, I feel so bad for the CM’s – they try so hard to be polite and respectful to the guests… only to be yelled at by the entitled ones who feel like CM’s are lower than mall cops. And like you said, the holiday season is just worse, and we avoid it… We went to Disneyland in late October, luckily before the official Christmas kick-off, and the crowds were still heavy – but I don’t think I’d even go if the tickets were free! And I agree, if the reservations are actually supposed to keep the levels lower – and not just track the guests themselves – then the reservation system needs to be revamped… I feel like crowds are actually WORSE than before covid, or maybe it’s because of the year of social distancing has messed with my head?

    2. Chain

We were at Magic Kingdom in Orlando this past summer.

My teens said not only will they never go back, they will never have children.

      It was awful.

      1. JPop

We stop going to nicer sit down restaurants because of bad parents. Pre-Covid I had a child through their food at me an screamed the entire time at Blue Bayou. The parents did and said nothing. The manager comp’d my dinner—which they shouldn’t have to do. I tipped my server that extra money. I had to buy a new shirt as I was soaked with Mac and cheese. It was my daughter’s 18th birthday and first time at the restaurant and as we were leaving she swept over to the family and thanked them for ruining her experience and for the permanent birth control.

I wish they would have special nights for adults only. Listen, I took my daughter and my nieces and nephews to DL. But never with a stroller. I didn’t want to push one around. I made sure she was able to walk.

      2. Tarynitup

We were just there 2 weeks ago. It wasn’t this bad for us at all. Granted, rude people are everywhere. Maybe we just didn’t encounter them this time (our third time back since the parks reopened)

  2. MasterK

It is horrible this is happening but this on not a Disney or Chapek related issue. The same thing is happening on airplanes, restaurants and all over.

I don’t know why I’m but covid had made people so rude.

    1. Tammy

YES! You’re so right! It’s like since covid hit the world, the sense of entitlement is rampant! And what’s worse is that everyone has their phones out, recording everything – so god forbid you do want to speak up for yourself against a rude (ahole), because it will be all over tiktok the next day…

I called out a guy for cutting me in line at the mall, he literally just stepped in front of me when I was next in line – so I politely told him I was waiting, and he rolled his eyes at me! He had his phone in his hand, and for a moment I debated on what to do… I fought the urge to raise my voice – but I was in disbelief at the audacity… I hoped for Karma.

      1. Joe Phillips

Don’t worry…bad karma for him cutting and good karma for you by letting it go. We can always choose to be angry and by getting angry we only punish ourselves.

    2. Dawn

I agree, it’s a wide spread issue with some people’s poor behavior and manners. The pandemic has escalated this poor behavior.

  3. Just went to Disney for my Grandsons first time to Disney. The day was a nightmare rude and volute guest and even worse than that, cast members. I grew up at Disneyland lived in O.C. Most of my years and I have never seen the park the way it was last night. It’s a good thing they do the nightmare before Christmas thing because it was just that. I will be very hesitant to return to Disney in any of their forms after what I experienced. The prices the service and the guests were all so unimaginably bad that they have probably just lost me and my entire family as fans and patrons of their products. Walt is rolling over in his grave seeing what his vision has become today. I’m no fool and I understand that they have to make a profit and that they are a business, but they are so far from the vision that was Walt’s that he would be sickened. THE DEATH OF MICKEY IS UPON US . R.I.P. my old friend.

    1. Disillusioned

      Amen

    2. Sherry

Not Chapeks fault? He has ruined Disney. Go woke, go broke. We will not be going back. Pay extra to ride aa d be trampled. Sounds like magic to me… says no one ever.

      1. Manny

@Sherry Woke has nothing to do with Genie+, or Lightning Lanes. Four years of stoking racial tensions and a host of other missteps has a lot more to do with this situation. Remember the stock holders come before anything else. This is the corporate ideology which has been propagated since the 80s.

    3. Tammy

I agree – poor Mr. Disney would be ashamed at what his beloved parks have become 🙁 I’m sure the veteran CM’s and the ones who have been there for decades are just sickened by the new business model, “profit before patrons” … I grew up in Anaheim, had annual passes to D-land and went almost every week in the 80’s and 90’s.

I live near WDW as an adult, and used to go a lot before covid with my family, too. I’m familiar with the greed from the parks, but when they re-opened this summer – it was blatantly obvious that the new ideals had shifted. At first, it was thought that the extreme cost was to recoup all the losses during the closure – but I’m sure they’re out of the red by now. Paying for a Fast Pass is fine, but when admission can be almost $150, and a “cheap” hotel at WDW is almost $200/night … it hurts my heart for the company. I have pixie dust in my veins, but unless their business model goes back to focusing on the guests, I don’t know when we will go back… and will probly never stay on property again.

  4. Jo Ann

I was at Disneyland on Dec 8. Genie+ was a mess but we did manage to get an individual ‘fastpass’ for the cars ride. What was an 85 minute wait for standby became about 10 minutes for us. Loved that part!

The number of strollers was crazy and the adults behind them even crazier. Overall, the people we encountered were kind.

Disney needs to figure out a much better plan for the # of strollers in the park.

    1. Jpop

Yes. They need to ban personal strollers and rent strollers if you want one. I also think the number of scooter’s for those that don’t need them is getting out of hand. Lots in the summer when it was hot.

      1. Manny

Maybe they can ban personal those scooters too. Fat and lazy does not make you handicapped.

  5. David Maxey

I was there Dec 8 and 9. Didn’t even try Genie. I wrote Disney and told them their reputation is being destroyed by the stroller infestation. I don’t get to bring my vehicle into the park, why do others get to? They’re a blight and an eyesore, they’re used as offense against other guests, and people pack them like a minivan. I saw one carrying a medium sized cooler. I’d have to put that in a locker or leave it outside the park. Why do strollers have more rights than guests? Already limited space is cut down and guests are made to suffer. They have to start limiting the number of strollers inside.

    1. TheD

I never thought about that. I was so happy when Disney first amounted, years ago, that they would have new strict stroller guidelines… it didn’t seem to do much good. The stroller should be limited to the child and a diaper bag. These transports loaded to excess is dangerous. …but you made a good point, they wouldn’t let a kid-free guest bring a wagon in to carry a cooler, clothes, etc. Instead you’d have to get a locker or leave it in your car. I feel for parents, I understand you’re stressed and just trying to have a good family time, but your inability to control your emotions and your kids doesn’t mean you can use it as a battering ram to assault others just because you need to get to Peter Pan’s Flight.

      1. TheD

        *announced, not amounted. Ha.

    2. PA

Disneyland has sure changed over the years and NOT in a positive way!

Disney needs to make only Disney strollers allowed in parks to eliminate outside strollers toting coolers into the parks for health and safety reasons! Happiest Place On Earth Is NO Longer The Happiest Place! 😭

Haven’t renewed Disney Annual Pass in years…after all this rudeness and madness… probably won’t renew and/or make a trip to Disneyland anytime in the near future! One reason I renewed annual pass was for Disney’s Smoked Turkey Legs and Fireworks!

Disneyland IS way over priced these days and NO longer worth visiting! IMO

  6. Marie Jimenez

I went to Epcot days before Thanksgiving. It was. Such a sad experienced. First of all I woke early to entered the Ratatouille queu only to be informed that I had to requested at 1 pm, as I was not staying in a Disney Resort. When I entered at 1:00 pm My turned was at 6 pm.
Second, NO TRAM! as soon as I entered the park I was tired from walking.
Third, even though we entered into the system to scan our phones for entry into the parks, It did not work!! We spent more or less an hour on the Guest relation line to have a card made so we can enter.
Four, construction!!! Everywhere!!! It is a maze to go to the pavilions.
But first Spaceship earth!, It was so dark, the area where they project the movie of the Mamuth, you can barely see it! The AC was low and it felt hot. Definitely seems Disney folks are saving energy.
Waiting time was 35 minutes but we were seated in 17 minutes, making us believe that times were inflated because of the Jeannie. We also rode Nemo, that indicated a waiting time of 25 minutes and we were riding it in 4 min.
Once we reached the pavilion, that steampunk monstrosity block the scenery.
In the past, there were more benches and areas to rest, It is my perceptions that they are less now.
And last, have you notice that the best spot to rest, with shadows and breeze are stroller parking. Strollers are being treated better than other paying guest. The worst part is that the parents driving me the de strollers does not care of pedestrians, I was hit several time and they look as if I was at fault!

  7. Tony

If the was a way to cancel my Dream Key, I would do it in a heartbeat.

    1. G. Jetton

I totally agree, on the first of October I attempted to get a reservation for my birthday in November. There were NO reservations from November 12, 2021 through January 9, 2022. I purchased the Dream Key and now can’t even get in. I’ve had an annual pass since 1985 and kept renewing even as prices went up. Now that I’m retired I foolishly did without small things, like dinner out, just to be able to go. We have been betrayed!

  8. Suprisedasanyone!

We had the first world privilege of going to Disneyland this past Friday and we went early. People were pretty mellow then. After lunch we saw two women yelling at the top of their lungs at each other while boarding a ride in Tomorrowland, and I mean full on yelling–everyone was watching them have this very embarrassing meltdown. Once the sun went down that’s when it got really crazy. My husband had to block for me (I have osteoarthritis and I don’t react as quickly due to that) because parents with strollers were using them as battering rams. Still, we made a point to give way, give smiles and be thankful. Not everyone gets to go to Disneyland and those that do need to remember that.

As a former passholder and very frequent DL guest, this environment is nothing new. CMs try to control the situation, but unfortunately many guests feel entitled to have the parks their way no matter what, and there seems to be nothing that can be done.

I see this type of behavior daily in our society in general, even pre-COVID.

It seems that freedom nowequals getting and doing what you want without accountability, responsibility, or care of others… and that makes me sad and fearful for what is to come.

    1. Edward

Karen, Your last paragraph says it completely. And I witness this daily. But I also have to agree w/MasterK…Covid has changed so many of my friends and coworkers attitudes(anger)!!

    2. Carlota Lara

It has been 20 years since I visited Disneyland and I do not miss it! It is not worth it, people are very rude!!!

  10. Rachel

It’s true, the “value” of being a keyholer is plain and simple…a joke! We have paid top dollar to be a pass holder, key holder and never has it been disappointing, even disgusting as now, reading stories upon stories of unsatisfied guest. There are people who say, it’s Disneyland, the happiest place, regardless!! Then there’s the sane people who remembers the happiest place…but not this Disneyland..it’s my opinion, my thinking and we are top keyholders, so we obviously thought we would be going to enjoy more freedom to go “whenever” …but carefully worded…we aren’t…..so let the rich, get richer from us…because we are letting it happen, this is only me thinking…

My wife and I took out potentially last visit to Disneyland in the middle of November this year. Earlier this year I was diagnosed with brain cancer, and am currently wheelchair bound. I self propelled myself through most of the park (only needing help from my wife on some of the hills in critter country and galaxies edge. We overall had a good time, but there where a few times when someone would occasionally jump in front of my chair while I was moving, and one time I was unable to change course or stop in time. I couldn’t believe that the guy who did that immediately tried to fight me and started swearing at me, saying he would kill me, he didn’t care I was in a wheelchair, he’d still kick my butt, etc. Along with some other dirty words. It definitely put a damper on the day. 🙁

    1. Brian

I remember being in Disney World December 2000 and getting off Space Mountain there was a lady in an electric wheelchair where the battery was dying. The wheelchair could not make it up the ramp to the store and she could not make the walk. I was amazed at how many people just walked right past her or bumped into her without stopping, and how thankful she was when I offered to push her and the wheelchair up the ramp and find a CM to help her get to an outlet.

I am amazed at how inconsiderate some people can be.

  12. Aaron

Was at Disneyland recently and the stroller mafia is crazy. I swear people bring them just so they can plow through crowds. These strollers are huge too….nobody needs a stroller that big! Ain’t nobody got time for that!

  13. Dhk

Idk what happened, but I feel like ever since Covid happened, people are more entitled than ever before. I get we all want to visit Disneyland, but seriously have some manners and common sense. I feel for the CM’s that have to deal with these crazies on a daily basis. This is exactly why I avoid the parks during the holidays unfortunately. As much as I would love to go again, this is the main reason why I won’t go.

  14. Ginger

13 of us went to Disneyland November 30-December 1. We had a stroller for 2 of the 6 kids and due to disabilities I was in a scooter. We had a great time. No, we didn’t run anyone over and while I constantly got cut off it wasn’t a biggie. It was crazy expensive but seeing the kids faces as they watched the parade at night was worth every penny.

  15. Bryan

I visited just before they implemented the genie plus at Disneyland, and it was really nice that everyone was treated equally for the lines at all The rides. There wasn’t really any of them that were longer than about an hour wait. The whole genie plus thing just makes things worse, and is nothing but a money grab.

    1. Teri Thomas

Agreed!! We visited just before Genie as well for 4 days from out of state. Soooooo glad it was before Genie. My biggest complaint was the humidity with the cold at night. We are used to snow and cold in Northern Nevada but it is dry….I was freezing! In other words, everyone was nice and friendly with the exception of several people with huge strollers! I saw people with the youngest member 6 or 7 years old pushing double wide strollers!!! I even saw a kid in a stroller who was so big his head was pushed sideways and his feet were hanging off! They ARE used to push their way through. We grew up going to Disneyland and when we took our kids at 3 and 5 years old they WALKED! You don’t see that anymore. I also think the reservation system is a joke. They obviously let too many people in for the CM abilities and the the space allowed. We probably won’t be back. It’s sad for us.

    2. Rog

Sigh, this is nothing new and then you spin it as if genie plus and chapake is the cause. I have been hit in the heels by strollers and pushed from behind at rope drop since 1998 and that has been going on since I can remember

    3. Tammy

Same here, we were at DL before the changes, in October, and even some of the CM’s I spoke to were wary about the App. They knew that it was going to have lots of pros and cons, but, being there for so long, knew how guests reacted to change … and how technology tends to make things worse for a while, especially while the bugs are being worked out. Some people rely so much on technology that they don’t know what to do when it’s not working – or helping them.

I have not had the chance to use the Genie app yet, but I’ll leave the G+ mess to those who want to pay even more to the Mouse… I sorely miss Fast Passes at WDW, but it was nice while it lasted.

  16. Frances Fyvie

My family enjoyed our three day visit to Disneyland Paris staying at the Explorers Hotel 6-9 December.
However the absolute death traps that are called shuttle buses were the worst experience of my life. Throughout the day they were fine but the return buses at close of day were indescribable. There was no supervision or security presence and people literally fought to get on. I was personally pushed to the floor of the bus on one occasion and the bus could not move as it was so packed and the doors were not able to shut …no one bothered about this so everyone just squeezed in further! I warn you now there will be a serious accident if this carries on. I am also going to contact the police in France about this going on especially during current Covid restrictions!! So much for keeping a meter apart? Children and babies were on the bus! I tried to take photos but could not move my arms throughout the journey! I am 67 years old If the park can organise the queues in the park for rides how can they not do this in the bus station?

  17. FritzOwl

Sounds like one Buffet I used to go to where people would get pushed at some food stations. It was like a school of Pirahna swarming a cow.

  18. Angela

We just got back.from 2 days at Disney & 1 day at ca adventures. 2 50 yr old adults. We had a blast. We rode everything including Spiderman webslingers and galaxy edge. Was about a 60 min wait for both.. nobody got trampled, everyone was polite & respectful. As adults we had more fun at ca adventures, the live bands were nice to just be able to sit & listen to. Staff in both parks were all very polite.

  19. Jimmy from Canada

We did both Disneyland and Disney World this week. Wait times on the app are 100% inflated, simply to encourage you to purchase Genie+. On average we found the were inflated by 50%,
Meaning a posted wait time of 50 minutes was approximately 25 minutes in Standby. We didn’t purchase Genie at either coast. Refused to do it. Trams not running at Magic Kingdom was a real “p off”. Made me made in fact. I’m a Canadian who has spent tens of thousands of dollars at Disney with over 30 visits under my belt. Told me wife today that I felt it wasn’t worth coming back anymore.

  20. ELlen Endres

I have now made three attempts at writing about my last experience at DW in October!
Over the last 30 years of taking the family at least once a year to DW, this is my last!
I am tired of spending thousands of dollars, only to be treated like a herd of cattle or worse. This time I bought the thing for early admission and felt ripped off.
My hotel was small and expensive and the sit down restaurant was closed!

    Shame on you Disney

    1. Scott

People are rude and entitled everywhere you go now, but DL seems to bring out the worst. Unfortunately, the terrible executive leadership at Disney Parks is the biggest contributor. The poor CMs are over-matched by crowds and under-prepared by leadership that is only concerned with driving profits for shareholders. The magic has died…all that is left is disappointment!

  21. Bill

Was at Disneyland on December 8th… had a wonderful time. Did not encounter anyone who was rude. Castmembers were wonderful. Except for the system being down periodically with the App, everything was fine.

  22. Hal

When Bob Chapek announced before DL’s reopening that he was going to work to increase shareholder revenue, that was a big tell- because shareholders and park guests aren’t necessarily the same people. But Chapek is certainly working hard to deliver on his promises (all while decrying being called a “bean counter”): admission and food prices took a sharp uptick, deferred maintenance on rides is causing them to break down far more frequently, there seems to be less CMs than before, the idea of downsizing food portions has been floated, and it would appear that attendance caps have been eliminated in a naked cash grab to get people to spend even more on Genie+. It’s clear that this newer management team is cynically counting on the Disney faithful to keep showing up and blindly empty their pockets. I’ve been going to the parks since 1976, but I simply cannot see myself going back anytime soon as long as the user experience is this compromised.

As for the massive strollers, I’m honestly shocked that Disney hasn’t decreed that all strollers inside the parks must be rented from Disney itself-talk about an untapped source of easy revenue!! But… I would actually support that (at the least, a *strictly* enforced max stroller size) to keep everything on an even footing.

  23. Cory

Strollers and worse powered chairs being driven by lazy and/or overwight people are out of control. There needs to be a medical form filled out by a doctor to use a powered chair. If your kid is over 3 and not disabled with medical forms, no stroller for you. This is the new “comfort animal” being abused by people. Lots of you folks need to be walking for sure.

  24. Steve

What a sad commentary on what Disneyland has become but not surprisingly. We used to go regularly but the crowds and the selfish attitude of so many of the people going now made us realize it’s time to say goodbye to Walt’s dream and just remember what it was.

  25. Jeannette

Disneyland the happiest place on earth so they say. I always post good reviews but my voice must be heard on this one . DISNEYLAND IS definitely not kid friendly at all. They have only one child changing station in the entire Disney Park with only 3 changing tables so the line can get pretty long. So if you go with a newborn and you must nurse you wait in line for that and if you have to change baby diaper guess what you have to wait in line again. On December 11 I went with my toddler and newborn baby and my cousin had her toddler and 1 year old and with one child care room in the entire park we had to remain mobile around that area which we ended up doing nothing but taking turns going in and out of the care room. They have no microwaves in there too to heat up milk for 1 year old They only had bottle warmers which took about 10 minutes just for water to heat up meanwhile child is crying for milk which is another story they don’t sell milk in convenience stands you have to go to a restaurant which you have to wait in a huge line just to buy whole milk. We got there around 2 and the only ride the kids got on was the carousel ride, the parade we were all the way in the back blocked by a tree so the kids so glimpses..so we said alright let’s get a good spot for fireworks we waited 1 hour and a half with the kids to watch fireworks just so they tell us due to unforseen circumstances the show was canceled. Unbelievable it was horrible to say the least. I would never again go back. Knotts hands down way more kid friendly.

    1. ThatsKarYntoyou

I’m sorry, but you sound very much like one of those entitled guests. EVERY restroom (M/W & Family) baby changing stations. The Baby Center has 1 microwave & bottle warmers, secluded/comfortable nursing area, diaper changing area, tot sized toilets, high chairs & an area for littles to sit & read. Unfortunately, Disney does not control the weather or wind. They are guided by the Fire Marshall to determine whether or not is is safe to set off fireworks. When it isn’t safe enough, they still put on a show using the laser lights & still make it snow. As for buying milk at a cart, ummm NO, they wouldn’t sell enough milk cartons across the parks to justify the expense of keeping it cold enough as to not spoiling it nor freezing it. However, the coffee cart in the hub does sell white & chocolate milk when they open. I’m sorry you didn’t get to see the fireworks. But it isn’t the Mouse’s fault that you chose to sit for over an hour & wait for them. Disneyland & Knotts are definitely DIFFERENT in many ways, including cost, magic, approach. The food at Knotts is way OVERPRICED & horrible. AND they are hard-core ugly about bringing in food/drink. We go to Johnny Rockets & occasionally the BBQ place when we go. We’ve been to the Disney parks 2 times since re-opening & I have to say, other than merch being sold out, we had a blast. We’re going again on Wed. Hopefully Small World will have reopened by then.

I’m sorry, but you sound very much like one of those entitled guests. EVERY restroom has (M/W & Family) baby changing stations in them. The Baby Center on Main Street has 1 microwave & bottle warmers, secluded/comfortable nursing area, diaper changing area, tot sized toilets, high chairs & an area for littles to sit & read. Alot of moms of newborns tend to use baby wear & nurse their babies all over the parks, there are spots that are quieter than others to do this. I started taking my kids when they were about 6 mos, anything younger than that just makes it miserable for everyone involved. Unfortunately, Disney does not control the weather or wind. They are guided by the Fire Marshall to determine whether or not is is safe to set off fireworks. When it isn’t safe enough, they still put on a show using the laser lights & still make it snow. However, the coffee cart in the hub does sell white & chocolate milk when they open AND you have the option of mobile ordering now. Since you felt that you were “stuck” on Main Street, you had quite a few places to choose from. I’m sorry you didn’t get to see the fireworks. But it isn’t the Mouse’s fault that you chose to sit for over an hour & wait for them. Disneyland & Knotts are definitely DIFFERENT in many ways, including cost, magic, approach. We just returned this past Sat. From a week in disneyland. Our experience was wonderful. No special passes or early arrival. We literally walked on Rise of the Resistance as well as Smugglers Run. All lines were normal and moved quickly. We entered on a Monday morning and crowds were easy to manage. Maybe our timing was good, I’m not sure. We were prepared for the worse but was pleasantly surprised with the ourcome! I don’t like these extra charges especially with the cost of a pass. Be careful Disney not to ruin the reputation Walt Disney established for his dream.

  27. Sarah

For the same price as a single day at Disneyland I can purchase an annual pass at Knott’s that includes: unlimited soft drinks for a year, 2 meals per day that I visit as part of the meal plan, one locker rental per day, their version of PhotoPass, and a 20% discount on merchandise. The guests are almost always polite, no one is over stressed, the employees often remember my kid because we are there so often…. Knott’s gets my money now. And I’ll probably add Universal soon. I hear Magic Mountain has a similar meal deal, so maybe then, too. I don’t care for coasters, but their shoes are okay and it’s still better than Disney…

    1. Sarah

Their *shows* are okay. Idk about their shoes ….

  28. R

Blame it on what ever makes it easier for you all to cope BUT the reality is, THIS HAS BEEN THE NEW NORMAL SINCE 2008.
People on the streets, planes, stores, parks, hospitals, etc., all their BAD, RUDE, OBNOXIOUS, CRUDE SPEECH, LYING SPEECH, VIOLENT BEHAVIOR IS CONDONED, CELEBRATED AND REWARDED AND PROTECTED IN AMERICA NOW. IT HAS GONE SO FAR THAT IT IS CONSIDERED ILLEGAL TO ATTEMPT TO INTERVENE, PROTECT OR DEFEND THE VICTIMS OF SUCH BEHAVIOR.
It’s just that as long as the targets were someone you felt good about hating or disliking (i.e., SOMEONE IN A RED HAT). It was OK then, NO ONE complained, defended, reported, etc., just shrugged and thought, “well they got what they deserved”.
Now that it is an inconvenience or affecting you, NOW it’s a problem. Remember, you get what you allow and you respect what you sow.

It took a while, but the goob who had to turn this into a political discussion has now sounded off! Do you feel better now, R?

    2. Bill

Disney would be a better place if it just removed those red hat people permanently.

      America would too.

  29. It is time for Disneyland properties to limit the number of people allowed into each park. This company has enough data to figure out how many people should be allowed in so that is a nice experience and NOT over crowded. I have been there when it was a very nice experience and also when it was just overcrowded and uncomfortable just to move around.

We now have a bunch of Californians living in Colorado, formerly a very laid-back state. I can tell you they are mean, rude, and only out for themselves. So much so that many natives have left the state, and I’m thinking about it too. I can’t even imagine being in a theme park in with them. They have certainly ruined my state.

Our family went (9 of us) assuming it’s the usual “off season” 11-30 & 12-1. It was packed, even with park reservations (supposedly limited admission numbers due to pandemic). We bought 3 day parkhoppers as we usually do. My husband had a medical issue 3rd day and I canceled our park reservation for that day. When I tried to reschedule a park reservation there were none—not til January 2022. I’ve emailed Disneyland twice with no response, and the tickets will expire. I’ve never had these issues with Disneyland before, in decades of coming to the park. I’m sure the pandemic has most everything to do with it. The park was busy, full of people similar to spring/summer busy season. Had I known, I would’ve rescheduled our visit. We still enjoyed our visit, and was just happy to be there. Patience, consideration and kindness helps everyone enjoy their visit. It’s getting far too expensive, and the pressure is on everyone to enjoy. Kind of defeats the purpose of going to Disneyland.

It’s a socio-cultural problem. Good manners and kindness are traits (behaviors?) that are not embraced by too many people nowadays.

Disneyland Genie+. needs to be canceled and Park Guests who paid for the service need to be refunded (this can’t be implemented by Team Disney Anaheim without a functioning Network – it’s obvious that doesn’t exist right now!) Just cancel it and don’t implement it until next year (when the Network is ready!)

The bad behaviour by Park Guests is proof there needs to be more Security hired (is it possible Team Disney Anaheim lost a lot of quality Security Personnel when they were all put on unpaid furlough so they had to look for employment elsewhere? I think so!) Why force Cast Members to do Security’s job? Why let bad – dangerous behaviour from Park Guests go unchecked? Remove them immediately – that’s what Disneyland jail is for right?

People pay a lot of 💵’s to go to a Disney Theme Park and have a great time, but if this bad behaviour from others continues … Park Guests are not going to return! Think I’m going to head to Disneyland after reading all the bad reviews? Nope I am sticking with Knott’s Berry Farm (where I guarantee if you misbehave? Security will detain and remove you!)

Happy Holidays and may peace restore Goodwill! ♥️

  34. We had a similar experience at Aulani in Hawaii. My sister was pushing my elderly mother to the restroom in a wheelchair. Guests just pushed their way in front of them not giving a care about her being in a wheelchair. I felt sorry for the locals who were ever so helpful and polite. The entitlement of the tourists was through the roof. Perhaps from being cooped up for months people lost their manners.
