Although it is worth noting that The Mandalorian Season 2 already took home multiple Emmy awards for stunt work and visual effects last week — a feat praised by StarWars.com — bounty hunter Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal), Grogu (AKA “Baby Yoda”), and their many companions in the Star Wars universe did not garner a single win last night, much to the shock and dismay of Star Wars fans online.

Eric Bott called out the powers-that-be at the Emmy Awards for The Mandalorian not winning any of the major awards it was up for:
The elites at the #Emmys hate masks so much they totally snubbed the one show about a dude in a mask, the #Mandalorian.

Another user echoed this sentiment while replying to a Tweet about Marvel Studios’ WandaVision facing the same fate as Mando last night — many award nominations, yet no wins:
The people upset at this tweet need to pack it up. It’s the same reason the mandalorian was tied for being the most nominated yet didnt win a single primetime award…. the emmys just didnt wanna pull through

Leo Marie didn’t agree with The Crown’s multitude of wins, noting that other great series were “snubbed” during the award ceremony:
I love #TheCrown but they did not deserve to win this many awards ! Wandavision, The handmaid’s tale & the mandalorian were snubbed BIG time !!! This #Emmys was a big snore

At this time, we know little about what exactly to expect in the world of The Mandalorian moving forward following the epic return of Jedi Knight Luke Skywalker (CGI Mark Hamill) in the Season 2 finale episode. Skywalker and his new Padawan, Grogu, could show up in any or all of the saga’s upcoming shows — The Book of Boba Fett, The Mandalorian Season 3, and Ahsoka, starring Rosario Dawson as Ahsoka Tano.
