Walt Disney World is home to several attractions including Splash Mountain, Test Track, “it’s a small world” and more. However, it is important to note that sometimes things can go wrong and attractions may face downtime every now and then.
It looks like this afternoon is one of those times as, due to some weather in the area, Guests may not be able to ride some of their favorite attractions. According to the My Disney Experience app as of 3:30 p.m. EST, multiple rides are currently listed as temporarily closed.
When looking at the My Disney Experience app at approximately 3:20 p.m. EST, there were 13 attractions listed as temporarily closed. These rides include Astro Orbiter, Expedition Everest, Kali River Rapids, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, The Barnstormer, The Magic Carpets of Aladdin, Slinky Dog Dash, and more.

Additionally, at 3:46 p.m. EST we checked the My Disney Experience app again and even more attractions were listed as temporarily closed — this time totaling 26 rides down including Alien Swirling Saucers, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Dumbo the Flying Elephant, and more.
And just before 5 p.m., we checked the My Disney Experience app, which showed a few attractions reopen. However, there were still multiple rides still listed as temporarily closed.
It is important to note that at this time, a majority of these rides are more than likely closed due to the weather currently happening in Florida as most of these rides are outdoor attractions and cannot run in severe weather conditions.

If you are visiting Disney World today, there are plenty of other options to experience during a storm including Mickey’s Philharmagic, “it’s a small world”, Pirates of the Caribbean, and The Enchanted Tiki Room at Magic Kingdom as well as Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster and Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
