Guests Say They Have to Be "Picky" About Disney World Merchandise Due to Poor Quality

Every Disney Parks Guest has a treasured souvenir that reminds them of the magic of their Walt Disney World Resort or Disneyland Resort vacation. For many Guests, that souvenir is a particular pair of Mickey Mouse or Minnie Mouse ears selected to perfectly match their style and personality.

Unfortunately, many Guests have been disappointed with the quality and price of shopDisney and Disney Parks products in the past few years, particularly during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. While some want more merchandise options, many Disney fans say they simply want the merchandise not to fall apart.

Mickey and Minnie ear headbands have been the target of fan frustration for a long time. One fan said the poor quality of her Mickey’s Main Attraction ears, from a limited-edition 2022 monthly shopDisney collection, was evidence of Disney’s merchandise offerings going “into the toilet.”

TikTok user Kat (@mydisneyvibes) shared a video of herself selecting a new pair of sequined ears at EPCOT and explained that she’s incredibly “picky” when she chooses her next Disney accessory:

The first pair of ears Kat picks up is extremely bent and crooked. In the comments, other Disney Parks fans say it’s hard to find ears that aren’t damaged at Disney merchandise locations.

“I’ll be standing there for a solid 15-30min sifting thru every single one,” @osomagical wrote.
