Marvel fans cried everywhere when Iron Man died in Avengers: Endgame (2019).

What’s more, Marvel Studios went on to kill the popular superhero multiple more times in the animated Disney+ show What If…?.

Now though, we get to see Iron Man face a more fun kind of violence – with Robert Downey Jr. dressed as a pinata.

Marvel fans saw Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), Captain America (Chris Evans), and Iron Man meet their demises in the blockbuster Marvel Cinematic Universe movie Avengers: Endgame (2019). Robert Downey, Jr. reportedly began “crying” when directors Anthony and Joe Russo told him their plans for Tony Stark’s sacrifice.

Let’s hope Downey Jr. wasn’t crying when he met a “mob of violence” dressed as a pinata for his daughter’s birthday.

The MCU actor is known for his fun and unique take on holidays and special occasions. During Thanksgiving last year, he shared a special message on social media channeling Sherlock Holmes as well as a fun video on Earth Day.

In a recent post on his Instagram, Robert Downey Jr. posted a video of himself dressed as a pinata and being attacked by children at a birthday party:

For my dearest daughter AVRI’s 7th bday I gave the kids what they want. Which is clearly mob violence.

The video shows the Iron Man star in a less serious light, dressed in a very colorful and entertaining costume and letting children beat him up.

Robert Downey Jr. has three children. His firstborn, Indino Falconer Downey, was born on September 7, 1993, in California. Downey had the now 27-year-old with his ex-wife, Deborah Falconer.

The Avengers actor welcomed his second son, Exton Elias Downey on February 7, 2012 with his second wife Susan Downey. Avri Noel Downey was born the same year on November 4, 2012.

Happy Birthday, Avri Roel Downey!

Iron’s Man’s influence is still present in the Marvel Universe as its iconic characters explore the Multiverse of Phase Four.

Phase Four kicked off with WandaVision, Marvel’s first series on Disney+. Disney+ releases like The Falcon and the Winter Soldier starring Sam Wilson/Falcon (Anthony Mackie) and Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan) and Tom Hiddleston’s Loki reshaped the MCU their storylines.

Marvel fans have also seen Black Widow, Shang Chi and now the Eternals get their own Marvel movies. The highly-anticipated Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021) will see Tom Holland’s titular character deal with the aftermath of Iron Man’s death and the events of Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019).
