The fact that there will be a Loki Season 2 is not surprising, as reports that Marvel President Kevin Feige and his team have been pushing for at least three seasons of the hit Marvel Cinematic Universe series have been running rampant for months. So, while we expected that multiple seasons were on the way, getting confirmation straight from the source is still exciting.

Although we know few details about the upcoming season of the show, there has been confirmation that head writer Michael Waldron will return in “some capacity”. Waldron is also busy on Kevin Feige’s Star Wars movie, however, so it remains to be seen just how involved he will be in Loki’s continuing adventures in the Marvel Multiverse.

CBS-owned ComicBook.com has previously teased that Loki Season 2 could start filming in January 2022. If that proves to be true, it likely won’t debut on Disney+ until at least fall 2022.
