This week, we got confirmation of two projects that seem to be steadfastly moving forward: Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure and Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind.
Chairman of Disney Parks, Experiences and Products Josh D’Amaro has taken to Instagram once again to share some news regarding Disney Parks construction. This time, he said he took a tour of EPCOT, mentioning seeing projects like Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, and the fountain pylons.
“I was happy to see so many WDW Cast Members this week. Thanks to @jeffvahle @thezachriddley and the @waltdisneyimagineering team for the tour of EPCOT. So much going on in this park with the future additions of Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind and the new pylons installed at the main entrance fountain.
D’Amaro’s caption certainly confirms which projects are moving forward, but does it also indicate that it’s not yet known when all of the other projects previously slated for EPCOT’s overhaul will be progressing?
The chairman’s social media post did not include information about any other projects that were previously announced for the reimagining of EPCOT. The theme park was said to be getting an overhaul back during D23 Expo in 2019, but since then it’s been speculated that much of what was announced would be put on hold due to budget cuts pertaining to the pandemic-related temporary closures of Disney Parks worldwide. Only time will tell what will become of EPCOT projects and what we’ll have to wait for.

D’Amaro shared another update earlier this week on the west coast. He and Walt Disney Imagineering shared some of the progress over at Avengers Campus, the all-new super hero land coming soon to Disney California Adventure at Disneyland Resort.
