We’ve shared the news of the Marvel attractions coming soon to Disney Parks around the world as they have been announced. But we know there are a lot of Marvel fans who are avid Inside the Magic readers, so we thought we’d put together a helpful guide to everything Marvel coming soon to Disneyland Resort, Walt Disney World Resort, and the international Disney Parks.
Avengers Campus opens in 2020 at Disney California Adventure, and already fans are gearing up to experience what will surely be some pretty amazing moments that will bring out everyone’s inner super hero. Already at Disneyland Resort we’ve been loving Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission Breakout! for the past couple of years since it opened, and the Marvel takeover is spreading just across the walkway to Avengers Campus, which will occupy what used to be a bug’s land.
Avengers Campus will include the already open Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission Breakout! as well as two other attractions. One will feature Spider-Man and will open when the new land opens next summer, while the other will be an E-ticket attraction that features all of our favorite Avengers but won’t open until phase 2 of Avengers Campus is ready to debut. The land will also be home to an all-new dining experience themed after Ant-Man called the Pym Test Kitchen.
Disney hasn’t yet announced an exact opening date for phase 1 or phase 2 of Avengers Campus.
Walt Disney World Resort
Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind is coming soon to Epcot at Walt Disney World, and we’re bracing ourselves for the most technologically advanced coaster we’ve ever seen. The attraction will be located in World Discovery, one of the three new lands announced to be taking over Future World. It will have a reverse launch into space, with vehicles that rotate so you can focus on the action going on all around you as you ride. And of course, you’ll be joining all of the Guardians of the Galaxy — Star Lord, Gamora, Drax, Groot, and Rocket — on your adventure.
We don’t have an exact date in 2021 for when this coaster will open, but we’ll keep you posted.
Another Avengers Campus is opening soon at Disneyland Paris, and it looks just as epic as the one at Disney California Adventure. This one will be located at Walt Disney Studios park and will give super hero recruits an unforgettable training experience.
Disneyland Paris is also getting its own Marvel-themed hotel, the first of its kind in the world. Disney’s Hotel New York: The Art of Marvel opens next summer and will feature artwork celebrating 80 years of Marvel as well as character meet and greets and themed rooms and dining experiences. You can read all the details here.
Hong Kong Disneyland
Hong Kong Disneyland already has a couple of epic Marvel attractions for guests to enjoy. Ant-Man and The Wasp: Nano Battle! shrinks guests down to the size of an ant on a critical mission alongside Ant-Man and The Wasp. And the first ever Super Hero-based Disney attraction is also located at Hong Kong Disneyland. It’s the Iron Man Experience, where Tony Stark will recruit you to fend off Hydra Forces that are attacking Hong Kong. You can try both of these attractions for yourself at Hong Kong Disneyland.
The Marvel-themed Avengers Campus has been planned for Hong Kong Disneyland’s multi-year expansion, so we’re excited to see what else it coming soon once it’s announced.
Disney Cruise Line
Additionally, there’s Marvel Day at Sea, where fans can meet their favorite super heroes, including the most recently added Captain Marvel and the Dora Milaje. We’ve shared everything there is to know about Marvel Day at Sea on Inside the Magic, so you can read all about those fantastic offerings here.
