SeaWorld San Diego is facing an indefinite shutdown following an urgent notice posted by the local government advising guests to avoid multiple theme park locations.
Southern California is the home of some of the most popular theme parks in the United States, including Disneyland Resort, Universal Studios Hollywood, Knott’s Berry Farm, and SeaWorld San Diego. With so much to see and do, it’s not hard to see why millions of families visit the Golden State yearly.
Sadly, SeaWorld San Diego is again in trouble, and multiple locations across the marine life theme park face indefinite shutdowns.

Redditor u/AspenGrey recently posted a photo informing guests that Big Bird’s Bistro and allegedly two other dining locations in SeaWorld San Diego had been shut down immediately by orders of the County of San Diego Department of Environmental Health Food and Housing Division.
According to the notice posted at the restaurant, this unexpected closure is due to vermin infestation, which poses an immediate health hazard for guests and employees of the Southern California marine life theme park. “Lines are crazy long at the open [places],” the Redditor added.
You can see the notice below or click here to check it out.
Be advised! At least 3 of the Sea World San Diego restaurants are closed, and if you bought all day dining they won’t refund it. Lines are crazy long at the open place.

The notice was posted yesterday, July 26, and does not have information on a possible reopening, meaning that Big Bird’s Bistro and the other locations the Redditor mentioned will remain shut down indefinitely while SeaWorld officials take matters to resolve this vermin infestation.
While Big Bird’s Bistro has been replaced at SeaWorld San Diego by The Chicken Snack Shack, likely due to the opening of Sesame Place San Diego, it appears that the restaurant’s name remains on record, as that is the one used by the Department of Environmental Health in the notice.

Unfortunately, this is not the first time operations at SeaWorld San Diego have been halted. Earlier this year, the marine life theme park was forced to cease all operations due to an incoming storm, affecting thousands of families.
