Fans are concerned as Walt Disney World Resort liquidates some of its premium merchandise (or “merch,” as the kids say). One designer item is more than 90% discounted.

Magic Kingdom Park, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and Disney Springs had a slower-than-normal summer. Central Florida Disney Parks and Disney Resort hotels were ghost towns over the July 4 and Labor Day holiday weekends, forcing Walt Disney World Resort to offer unprecedented Disney Park ticket, VIP tour, and Resort hotel room discounts.

Many blamed political conflict between The Walt Disney Company and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis for the crowd lull. Others cited the increased cost of living and the end of COVID-19 revenge travel. Still, some believed Walt Disney World Resort was never as empty as news reports made it seem.

When Disney Park attendance is regular, it’s hard to find anything under full price at Walt Disney World Resort. But for bargain hunters, there are always deals to be found at Disney’s Character Warehouse, an outlet store with two Orlando locations on International Drive and Vineland Road. The no-frills merch stores offer Walt Disney World Resort, Disneyland Resort, and shopDisney items at discounted prices.

But this week, one discount was better than almost anything else Walt Disney World Resort has ever offered. TikToker @mainstreetheartfam purchased the Walt Disney World Resort x COACH ears, originally priced at $295, for roughly $12:

“I’m sorry to anyone who bought them full price,” the lucky guest joked.

Even though they were limited to one pair per guest, the Minnie Mouse ears went quickly.

“UPDATE: just went they are sold out at 1pm!!” @kay_fuller reported.

“Can confirm that they’re sold out,” @rachel.f.hart echoed.

Others said the COACH ears weren’t the only designer product on sale.

“Me with the coach backpack,” said @catiemartell. “I got it for $75 I was so happy.”

Some fans were concerned, both about the implications of Walt Disney World Resort discounting merchandise so heavily and the TikToker sharing the deal online.

“That’s criminal,” @baylakebae commented.

“Let stop overpaying for stuff that cost 3 dollars to make and made from China,” said @el_prieto_4.

“Thanks for telling the world now the rest of us will not be able to get any,” @acinderella4 replied.

Just because the Walt Disney World Resort x COACH ears sold out doesn’t mean the deals are gone. Disney’s Character Warehouse receives new inventory daily, including Spirit Jerseys, Loungefly, Funko Pops, Disney pins, and more! Guests should expect a short wait upon arrival as the stores limit capacity for the best shopping experience.
