Walt Disney World turned 50 years old on October 1 and will be celebrating this milestone anniversary for 18 months! Known as “The World’s Most Magical Celebration,” Disney World began its anniversary festivities on October 1, 2021 to commemorate exactly 50 years since Magic Kingdom first opened its gates in 1971.

Along with a new cavalcade, a new fireworks show, and new food items, Disney also brought fans brand-new merchandise. Now, as we approach the New Year, shopDisney is teasing a “big announcement” coming related to the 50th anniversary!
