We already know that the fan-favorite Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade will be part of Disney’s new holiday event, Disney Very Merriest After Hours, at Magic Kingdom. This will be the first parade to return to Walt Disney World since the Resort reopened after its pandemic closure. But what about other parades such as Festival of Fantasy or Move It! Shake It! MousekeDance It! Street Party at Magic Kingdom?

Though we do not have a return date for either of these parades yet, a new permit filed by Disney indicates parades may return to another theme park soon.

Disney filed a permit a few days ago for the location of 234 Cypress Drive, also known as the location of Disney’s parade storage at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The permit is for “general construction” with New Horizon Construction Services.

Although not much other information is listed on the permit, it is interesting to see Disney filing construction permits for parade storage when they are not hosting parades at this time due to the pandemic. We do want to note that the Parks are showing cavalcades throughout the day, but these are much shorter than normal day parades and only consist of one or two floats and a handful of characters.

With Disney continuing to modify its health and safety protocols and continuing to bring back other entertainment offerings, such as shows and character meet and greets, we could potentially see Disney World bring parades back in the near future as well.
