This morning, additional October 1 Magic Kingdom Park reservations for two types of Walt Disney World Resort Guests — Select Resort Hotel Guest and day ticket holders — became available. Within 60 minutes, however, the Disney Park Pass reservations were gone, leaving the Resort’s 50th Anniversary date officially sold out once again.

By 8:20 a.m. EST, however, both ticket types were once again gone for the 50th:

It is not known if these additional reservations opened because Guests canceled trips to the Orlando, Florida area due to the COVID-19 Delta variant surge, or if Disney released more tickets due to a capacity increase — Walt Disney Company CEO Bob Chapek previously confirmed that both Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort have begun increasing capacity, but did not indicate what the current capacity levels are at the domestic Disney Parks.

As you can see from the Disney Park Pass calendar, Theme Park Ticket Guests can still reserve EPCOT, Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and Disney’s Hollywood Studios on October 1.

Select Resort Hotel Guests are also able to reserve EPCOT, Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and Disney’s Hollywood Studios on October 1.

Walt Disney World Resort Annual Passholders, however, cannot currently make reservations at any Disney World Park for the 50th anniversary celebration’s official kickoff.

Keep in mind that the 50th anniversary party in the Parks will last for 18 months, into 2023, giving all Disney World fans a chance to experience the magic!
