During the 2019 D23 Expo, Bob Chapek and Zach Riddley announced several big projects coming to EPCOT and ever since, construction at the theme park has been non-stop.
Now it looks as though new signs will be installed in the Innoventions East area as a new permit has been filed.

In case you weren’t aware, one of the big changes happening at EPCOT is the debut of three brand-new lands, replacing what is now known as Future World. The purpose of these three new lands is so that all of EPCOT will be a unity of four neighborhoods that speak to each important aspect of the world.
World Showcase, which has already been a part of this park, will be joined by World Celebration, World Nature and World Discovery.
In order to make way for the new lands, theming, and projects, parts of EPCOT have had to become completely demolished — Including Innoventions East.

Now, it looks as though Disney is continuing to make progress on this area of the theme park as a new permit has been filed. The new permit, which you can view here, is for the address of 1400 Avenue of the Stars, the same location as Innoventions East, and is to “install signs”.
Though we do not have much other information aside from the location and the description of improvement, it is clear that Disney is continuing to work on EPCOT’s overhaul. We cannot wait to see the new signs installed and are excited for how much progress will be made by the 50th anniversary in October.
Guests can also look forward to an expansion of the Mission: SPACE pavilion with the soon-to-be new restaurant Space 220. Visitors will get a culinary experience featuring the celestial panorama of a space station and will see both daytime and nighttime views of Earth from 220 miles up.
And if you are looking to venture off to another galaxy, be sure to visit Star-Lord and the gang on the soon-to-be Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind!
Additionally, over in the France pavilion, Guests can soon ride Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, which will be filled with lots of family fun! For the upcoming Ratatouille ride, Walt Disney Imagineering has partnered with Pixar to make sure what the Disney Imagineers are building is staying true to the story and staying true to the overall idea.
Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure will open on October 1.
