Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure

Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure is going to be EPCOT’s latest attraction in World Showcase, and will be filled with lots of family fun! For the upcoming Ratatouille ride, Walt Disney Imagineering has partnered with Pixar to make sure what the Disney Imagineers are building is staying true to the story and staying true to the overall idea.

In case you aren’t familiar, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure will be a trackless 4D dark ride attraction, which is based on the 2007 Disney-Pixar animated film, Ratatouille. The new ride will shrink down riders to the size of a rat who will then have to scurry along with Chef Remy through Gusteau’s Restaurant in an adorable rat-shaped ride vehicle.

Now, Disney Parks Blog shared additional details on the upcoming Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure attraction, which will debut on October 1, 2021 — the same day as when the Walt Disney World Resort 50th anniversary celebrations will begin:

In this delicious new attraction, you’ll feel like you’ve shrunk to the size of Chef Remy as you scurry through Gusteau’s famous restaurant on a wild adventure for the whole family (no height requirement!). Based on Disney and Pixar’s Academy Award-winning “Ratatouille,” the experience will be part of a newly expanded France pavilion inside EPCOT that will also open Oct. 1.

They also gave us a squeak peek at the inside of the attraction, which you can see below. Guests are riding aboard the rat-shaped vehicles with face coverings on as they scurry through Gusteau’s Restaurant.

Additionally, Zach Riddley of Walt Disney Imagineering took to Instagram to share the exciting news of Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure debuting later this year!

Magnifique! Today we revealed that Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure will celebrate its grand opening at EPCOT on Oct. 1, 2021. This is another great addition to our EPCOT transformation and a great way to kick off Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary. Also opening on the same day is La Crêperie de Paris, a new restaurant offering both table and quick-service options. The New France Pavilion Expansion

When discussing the entire new France pavilion expansion, Disney Parks Blog gets Guests excited by sharing some of the one-of-a-kind elements that will be featured throughout the pavilion:

When you round the corner into this new portion of the pavilion, you’ll be transported into a fanciful version of Paris that feels straight out of the animated film. As you can see in this beautiful nighttime photo we’re sharing today, it’s easy to understand why little Remy fell so head-over-heels in love with the “city of lights.”

But that’s not all because Guests can also grab some delicious French-style cuisine at La Crêperie de Paris, also opening on October 1, 2021!

And oh wait … there’s more! Also opening Oct. 1 will be La Crêperie de Paris, a new restaurant offering both table- and quick-service options. The menu will feature sweet crepes, savory buckwheat galettes (naturally gluten friendly) and authentic French hard cider. The attraction, restaurant and pavilion expansion are all part of the historic transformation of EPCOT currently underway, celebrating how the impossible becomes possible through the power of imagination … and a little Disney magic. This amazing time in the park’s history has already brought us a reimagined main entrance with new entrance fountain, “The Soul of Jazz: An American Adventure” exhibit and new films in three different pavilions, with much more on the way.

Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure as well as the rest of the France pavilion expansion will be open in time for Guests to celebrate the 50th anniversary at Walt Disney World Resort.

Disney Parks Blog shared these details on what Guests can expect at the Disney Parks for the upcoming 50th anniversary celebration:

Beginning Oct. 1, Walt Disney World Resort will throw “The World’s Most Magical Celebration” in honor of our 50th anniversary, bringing new experiences to our four theme parks and beyond. This milestone is such a big deal, we’ve even coined a new word – “EARidescence” – to describe what you’ll see when you visit. Our Disney teams are creating all sorts of new decorations that will shimmer and sparkle all day and into the night.

As part of the celebration, Cinderella Castle at Magic Kingdom Park will add to its royal makeover from last year. As you can see in this new artist rendering, the castle will feature golden bunting and a 50th anniversary crest as part of its festive new look.

The castle will add even more magic at night, joined by icons at each of the other three theme parks as they transform into Beacons of Magic.
