Even though Star Wars icon Mark Hamill, who has played Jedi Master Luke Skywalker for over 40 years, was on The Mandalorian set at the same time as Bo-Katan Kryze actress, Katee Sackhoff, the two never actually met.

In fact, Sackhoff previously confirmed that she was just as surprised as Mandalorian viewers when she saw the season finale cameo!
Hamill and Sackhoff both appeared in The Mandalorian Season 2 finale episode. A CGI de-aged version of Hamill’s face was used when Luke Skywalker swooped in with his X-wing and green lightsaber to rescue Grogu (AKA Baby Yoda) from Moff Gideon’s (Giancarlo Esposito) clutches.
Sackhoff’s Kryze, meanwhile, came along for Din Djarin’s (Pedro Pascal) rescue mission solely in an effort to finally secure the Darksber for herself. As Star Wars fans know, Kryze wants to win the ancient Mandalorian weapon in battle so she can retake her home planet Mandalore, ultimately avenging her sister, Duchess Satine Kryze’s, death.

Sackhoff, who is perhaps best known as Kara ‘Starbuck’ Thrace from Battlestar Galactica, originally voiced the popular Star Wars character in the animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels.
Now, she has connected with Hamill on Twitter. Both Star Wars stars are active on social media, so it’s no surprise to see them interact! (Hamill previously connected with Ming-Na Wen (Fennec Shand) on Twitter.)
Hamill responded to a Tweet in which Sackhoff confirmed the two never met on Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni’s Mandalorian set. He posted:
It would be such a pleasure to meet you one day, @kateesackhoff. It is our destiny…! Forcefully Yours, Mar

At this time, neither Sackhoff nor Hamill’s return to The Mandalorian universe has been confirmed. It seems likely, however, that Sackhoff will be back in The Mandalorian Season 3. Kryze will probably attempt to win the Darksaber from Djarin, who now wields it, at some point in time.
Hamill has expressed nothing but gratitude toward Mandalorian director Peyton Reed and the rest of the hit show’s cast and crew, but has not indicated that he will return to the Star Wars franchise again at this time.
