When the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser Resort hotel was first announced at the 2017 D23 Expo in Anaheim, California, Star Wars fans knew they were in for a treat — after all, this was the closest they would probably ever get to a galaxy far, far away — but, at the time, nobody knew exactly how immersive the two-day experience was going to be.
Now, we’re aware that Walt Disney Imagineers are encouraging Guests to arrive as their own versions of Star Wars characters — so get out your Twi’lek lekku — and that passengers onboard the Halcyon luxury starliner will be thrown into a rousing journey that puts them right in the middle of the Star Wars galaxy.
While we know certain details about the Galactic Starcruiser experience — like the fact that Chewbacca, Rey, and Kylo Ren will all be on board and Guests will take a port excursion to Batuu’s Black Spire Outpost — many details about this first-of-its-kind Walt Disney World Resort hotel remain under wraps.
One thing we are certain of? This amazing experience comes at a price. Although many Galactic Starcruiser voyages have already sold out, proving how excited the Star Wars fan community is, Guests are paying upwards of $5,000 per trip for a stateroom.
