Theme parks are some of the most visited destinations in the United States, welcoming millions of families yearly to enjoy thrilling attractions, fun rides, and world-class entertainment.

Unfortunately, a concerning decline in guest behavior has triggered nationwide changes at theme parks and amusement parks, denying entry to select paying guests. And this trend continues, with a violent fight caught on camera at Cedar Point.

Redditor u/Happy_Bid_8161 recently shared a video of two large groups of guests engaging in a violent fight at Cedar Point, a famous amusement park in Sandusky, Ohio.

The guest jokingly commented that the fight started because the two groups were “mad Top Thrill 2 is still closed,” an issue that continues to stir debate among fans of the Ohio theme park. However, the real reason the fight started is unclear.

Viewers were immediately outraged by the violent scene at the family-friendly amusement park and were not shy to voice their opinions on the unacceptable incident.

“I hope they went to jail and got permanently banned from every [Cedar Fair and Six Flags] park,” Redditor u/evilmonkey013 commented. Users u/schoat333 and u/The_Original_Miser agreed, commenting, “I hope they all went to jail. F*****g idiots,” and “That and a lifetime ban from every park in the newly formed company,” respectively.

Redditor u/yaznasty joined the conversation by saying, “was at the park today and some of these same f*****s were line hopping at Millennium [Force]. They were being so proud of themselves about it too. Not that line hopping is worse than actual fighting, but just something I noticed, that I actually recognize these people.”

User u/Maximum_Rush1200 commented, “I was wondering what happened. There were police and security there right after.” Redditor u/THCESPRESSOTIME responded: “Trash happened.”

Cedar Point does not currently enforce a chaperone policy. However, with this recent incident and company-wide changes following the billion-dollar merger between Cedar Fair and Six Flags, A chaperone policy could start being enforced at the Sandusky amusement park.

Sadly, this is not the first time poor guest behavior has caused problems at Cedar Point.

Earlier this year, a woman was assaulted while waiting in line for Millenium Force, resulting in a bloody injury for the victim and the immediate arrest of the suspect, who was charged with assault.

In June, a guest’s irresponsibility caused a nearly disastrous scene after their phone flew out of the Magnum XL-200 roller coaster and narrowly missed a young child’s head. The guest was removed from the amusement park after the incident.

And let’s not forget the time a guest shamelessly pulled their phone out aboard Magnum XL-200, causing an immediate emergency shutdown and ruining the day of hundreds of families.
