If you are patiently awaiting the release of Spider-Man: No Way Home on December 17, it looks like Marvel is looking to give fans a little sneak peek, but it’s not what you think!
Many have been looking at each moment of the recently released trailer, frame by frame to figure out what is going to happen and crack some codes. Considering director Jon Watts wasn’t even sure how the film would end while filming, it would be pretty surprising for a fan to decipher the endgame here (and yes, that was a pun for all you Marvel fans out there).
With so much talk around Spider-Man: No Way Home, following the success of Spider-Man: Far from Home (2019) and Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017), Marvel decided to get creative. The film will debut on December 17 worldwide; however, U.K. audiences will get an early preview with a December 15 debut date.
The Spider-Man: No Way Home (@SpiderManMovie) Twitter account decided to pull a fast-one on fans. In the photo below, it seems that they wanted to tease a potential spoiler by noting that they cannot believe no one has seen one “obvious” moment. Below is the photo, and when you zoom in to the highlighted circle, you will see that it is just a note from the team that says “Hope you’re having a good day”. And with that, all of us fans were duped!
Can’t believe no one spotted this yet. Zoom in at your own risk!

Thanks to the most recent trailer, we can see that Alfred Molina’s Doc Ock, Willem Dafoe’s Green Goblin, Jamie Foxx’s Electro, plus Thomas Haden Church’s Sandman character, and Rhys Ifans’ Lizard from alternate universes will all return. In the film, we will also be able to see Tom Holland (Peter Parker/Spider-Man) and Zendaya (MJ) joined by Benedict Cumberbatch (Doctor Stephen Strange), Jon Favreau (Happy Hogan), Marisa Tomei (Aunt May), Jacob Batalon (Ned Leeds). We did not, however, see Tobey Maguire or Andrew Garfield in the trailer, so their appearance continues to remain a mystery.
The official description of Spider-Man: No Way Home reads:
For the first time in the cinematic history of Spider-Man, our friendly neighborhood hero is unmasked and no longer able to separate his normal life from the high-stakes of being a Super Hero. When he asks for help from Doctor Strange the stakes become even more dangerous, forcing him to discover what it truly means to be Spider-Man.
