Disney Springs may have some competition for shoppers.
It is an incredibly exciting time to be a Disney World fan as the Resort continues to celebrate its 50th anniversary. There are so many great ways to celebrate at all four Parks. Limited-time shows and events, unique decorations, and exclusive merchandise opportunities are everywhere at Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Hollywood Studios, and Animal Kingdom. And speaking of reclusive and limited-edition Disney merch, Dooney & Bourke just released their newest collaboration with Disney World, and it proved to be insanely popular just like the rest of the anniversary merchandise.
Dooney & Bourke, a long-time collaborator with The Walt Disney Company recently released an exclusive bag both at Walt Disney World and online at the ShopDisney website.
The bag celebrates Walt Disney World’s 50th anniversary featuring a beautiful image of Cinderella Castle. The bag was released today and is already sold out both in-store and online. However, if you really want the bag and are willing to spend over double the original $298.00 retail price, eBay has you covered.
As you can see, resellers are already pricing the limited edition bag over double what its retail price was. It’s safe to say this will be a very popular item for Guests visiting the Parks. This is something we have seen in the past when it comes to these bags, as well as other Disney merchandise. Even McDonald’s Happy Meal toy collections have been found on eBay.

The new collection of 50th-anniversary celebration merchandise has proved to be a smash hit with Guests and Disney World fans alike, with most new pieces selling out within hours, or even minutes. In the past few months, we have seen Guests fight for their limited-edition cups, EARidescent spirit jerseys, high-end luxury backpacks, and super cute mouse ears.
Walt Disney World and Disneyland both feature some really cool and exclusive merchandise for Guests to enjoy.

When it comes to the 5oth anniversary merchandise, it is important to realize that a lot of it will be restocked later in the day or in the week. And if you are on vacation and are unable to score an item you want, the shopDisney site will often have restocks available as well.
When it comes to eBay resellers, this is something that is highly frowned upon in the Disney community. We have seen a ton of resellers shut down their business due to Disney cracking down on how much merchandise Guests can buy at a time. Most items are now limited to two per Guest, due to this behavior.
As the 50th anniversary has moved along, we have seen new merchandise continue to sporadically drop for Guests, which means that there may be new pieces coming at any given moment. Because of this constant state of “newness”, the popularity for the merchandise does not ever dwindle!
