Now, Build-A-Bear has added to its Star Wars collection with an adorable — and somewhat unexpected — plush toy. The company revealed a Bantha stuffed animal that is almost too cute for words!
Build-A-Bear’s official Twitter post reads:
NEW! Our fuzzy Bantha™ plush is ready for any desert journey ahead! Bring home our all-new Bantha™plush to complete your The Mandalorian™ collection today!

NEW! Our fuzzy Bantha™ plush is ready for any desert journey ahead! Bring home our all-new Bantha™plush to complete your The Mandalorian™ collection today!
Although Banthas have appeared in numerous Star Wars projects outside of The Mandalorian — specifically Star Wars: A New Hope (1977), Star Wars: Return of the Jedi (1983), Star Wars: The Phantom Menace (1999), and Star Wars: Attack of the Clones (2002) — Build-A-Bear’s new Star Wars stuffed animal is part of the brand’s Mandalorian collection, which has also included both Din Djarin and Grogu.
Build-A-Bear’s Online Exclusive Bantha™ Plush with Saddle can be ordered for $53.00. The official description of the product reads:
Saddle up and adventure throughout the galaxy with your own Bantha™ plush! This large, furry mammal from Tatooine™ has shaggy brown fur with big plush horns. It’s ready for any desert journey thanks to the brown plush saddle included. Add this adorable Bantha™ plush to your herd and complete your STAR WARS™ collection today!
The website also reminds buyers that “due to Bantha’s extra-snuggly size, this furry friend cannot fit inside our standard-sized gift box or Cub Condo.”
Banthas are large, furry mammals that travel in herds through Tatooine’s desert wastes. They serve as mounts for Tusken Raiders, and the two share a close, almost mystical bond.
