The Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover is a popular attraction at Magic Kingdom in Disney World. It takes Guests on the grand circle tour of Tomorrowland as they people watch and get to see other Tomorrowland attractions — such as Space Mountain and Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin — up close and personal.
However, Guests need to be aware that the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover is experiencing some technical difficulties this week. Unfortunately, the attraction has been temporarily closed on and off for the last few days.
For starters, as you can see in the screenshot below, My Disney Experience is currently showing the PeopleMover as temporarily closed.

This is not the first time the PeopleMover has closed for an extended amount of time this week. In fact, earlier today the attraction was closed as well, according to WDW Stats on Twitter. The good news here is that the attraction was only closed for 10 minutes:

The Tomorrowland Transit Authority has been through a lot this past year and a half. In fact, the ride was closed to Guests in early March 2020, even before the temporary park closures. But, once the theme parks reopened in mid-July 2020, Guests were hoping to see the PeopleMover open back up with the rest of the attractions, however, this wasn’t the case.
Guests weren’t sure what exactly was happening with this Tomorrowland attraction as Disney didn’t officially close it for refurbishment right away. After several delays (and we mean months and months worth of delays) the PeopleMover officially reopened to Guests on April 25, 2021.
Inside the Magic will keep you updated as we get information regarding the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover at Disney World.
