Disney World President "WOW"-ed By HarmonioUS

Walt Disney World is getting ready to bring Guests the highly anticipated new nighttime spectacular, HarmonioUS, at EPCOT.

We recently found out the new nighttime spectacular will debut on EPCOT’s birthday, as well as the same day of Disney World’s 50th anniversary — October 1, 2021! Now, we are 100 days away from the official debut and the Walt Disney World President is getting fans excited about the upcoming show.

Jeff Vahle, the President of Walt Disney World Resort, took to Instagram to share that he recently had the chance to join the creative team and watch a rehearsal earlier this week. As Vahle put it — “WOW!”

We are now 100 days from the start of The World’s Most Magical Celebration – and the debut of “Harmonious” at EPCOT! I was able to join some of the team behind creating and operating the new nighttime spectacular for a rehearsal earlier this week. WOW! The innovative use of technology and effects in the show really raises the bar, and the global aspect of the musical score makes “Harmonious” the perfect show for EPCOT. I was so impressed and can’t wait for you to see it.

We here at Inside the Magic cannot wait to finally see the new EPCOT nighttime spectacular, especially after continuing to hear reports about the testing of fireworks late at night.

October 1, 2021 will certainly be a day to remember as Magic Kingdom will also debut a new nighttime spectacular, Disney Enchantment, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom will debut a new daytime show, Disney KiteTails.

HarmonioUS is an upcoming nighttime spectacular that will debut in World Showcase at EPCOT on October 1, 2021. It will include pyrotechnics, projections, fountains, lasers, and more. Disney Parks Blog describes this show as:

“Harmonious” will bring to World Showcase Lagoon an innovative toolkit of massive floating set pieces that house a variety of show effects, including custom-built LED panels, choreographed moving fountains, colorful lights, lasers, pyrotechnics and more.

The show is a beautifully crafted nighttime dreamscape of Disney music and images, reimagined by diverse cultural musicians and artists from around the world. It’s a transformative experience, where we can discover how Disney music has the power to inspire and unite us all.
