As of today, Guests can now visit the entirety of Disney California Adventure Park for the first time in over a year!

Although rides and attractions will not be available until Disneyland Resort officially reopens on April 30, 2021, the limited-time A Touch of Disney event has Disneyland fans excited for the magic that is to come. Even Disneyland President Ken Potrock is sharing his elation about today’s A Touch of Disney debut!

Potrock took to his official Instagram account to share a photo of him with Joy from Inside Out. He captioned the post:

Can’t contain my JOY being in Disney California Adventure park for the opening of A Touch of Disney. It was so amazing to see Cast Members making magic for our guests again!

Disney delighted fans by having numerous characters available (at a safe social distance) throughout DCA today. Max and Goofy could be seen fishing on Pacific Wharf, Joy was joined by Sadness on Pixar Pier, Lightning McQueen and Mater were back home at Radiator Springs in Cars Land — and, of course, Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, and Pluto were on hand at the Silly Symphony Swings!

With Disneyland Resort’s reopening announcement earlier this week came confirmation that A Touch of Disney will be a limited-time event, running from today, March 18, through April 19.

Tickets for the event are sold out, but if you were lucky enough to snag entry, you have a lot to look forward to — there’s even a taste of Disneyland Park thanks to an Autopia photo op!

If you plan to attend, remember face masks are required for Guests age 2 and up, social distancing is being enforced, and numerous health and safety protocols are in place. Please abide by all Cast Member instructions and California state regulations while on Disneyland Resort property, just as Guests have been doing at the Downtown Disney District since it began its phased reopening last summer.

Are you as excited as Ken Potrock that Disneyland Resort Cast Members are once again making magic?
