In 2019, actor and Disney Channel star Cameron Boyce passed away from epilepsy, just before the release of Disney Channel’s Descendants 3. Boyce was only 20 years young.

Boyce was known for several film roles as well as for his reoccurring character in the Disney Channel series Jessie. Because of his talent, maturity, charisma, and kind heart, fans began a petition in 2019 to get Cameron Boyce a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, which, in case you aren’t familiar, currently has over 2,600 brass stars embedded in the sidewalks of 15 blocks on Hollywood Boulevard and 3 blocks on Vine Street.

Though the petition was created over a year ago, fans are still, to this day, signing the petition — which currently has almost 9,000 signatures! The petition reads:

I want to start a petition to get Cameron Boyce a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame! He has always been a talented actor that has  caught our eyes with every amazing role on television and movie he was in. His passing has shocked and devastated many, especially his loved ones. We should recognize his accomplishments and everything he’s done by honoring him with his own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Let his legacy live on forever, and may we never forget his name!

You can check out the petition here.
