Disney Channel celebrated Cameron Boyce’s life in a very special way, with a touching video tribute that aired at the end of the channel’s recent release of “Descendants 3.”
The 20-year-old actor passed away earlier last month on July 6 due to an “unexpected death in epilepsy.” His passing left not only his family but his friends and fans in shock. However, Disney Channel wanted to celebrate the star one last time with a special video that not only celebrated the actor’s life but his extensive history with the cable channel.

The two-minute and thirty-second video begins with old clips of Cameron doing interviews for his past shows on Disney Channel and then moves into interviews from past co-stars sharing their love for the late actor. This is then followed by hilarious bloopers of the actor on the set of multiple productions on the channel breaking character and bursting into laughter.
The video also includes a lot of outtakes and scenes of Boyce on set with his Descendants co-stars. One special moment included in the tribute shows Boyce with the past First Lady, Michelle Obama. In the clip, Boyce is doing a scene with Michelle when they break character and he makes her laugh, which he finds great pride in.
As the video progresses, it also includes text that appears in between its clips. At the end of the video, this same text transforms to read “you mean everything to us.” This plays right before a second sequence that offers viewers advice on how to deal with the emotions that come with loss.

Out of respect for Boyce’s family and loved ones, the cable channel canceled the “Descendants 3” red carpet premiere and instead, The Walt Disney Company made a donation to the Thirst Project, an organization Cameron was deeply committed to. Additionally, with permission from Boyce’s family, the telecast of “Descendants 3” was dedicated in his memory.
