Demigods, monsters, and mythological mayhem are on the horizon once again as Percy Jackson and the Olympians prepares to return to Disney+ for its second season. Fans were in for a treat at San Diego Comic-Con 2025, where the cast and creative team took over Hall H to deliver exciting new details—including the official premiere date for Season 2 and the first major casting reveals for Season 3.
Season 2 Makes a December Splash
Mark your calendars: Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 2 will debut on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, streaming exclusively on Disney+. This upcoming chapter adapts The Sea of Monsters, the second book in Rick Riordan’s best-selling series, and promises higher stakes and even deeper dives into Greek mythology.

Fans got their first look at the new season with an exclusive teaser, including a glimpse at Percy’s cyclops half-brother, Tyson. Daniel Diemer will portray Tyson, joining returning cast members Walker Scobell (Percy), Leah Sava Jeffries (Annabeth), Aryan Simhadri (Grover), and others. Based on the teaser, the season will feature thrilling quests, mythological creatures, and the ever-growing threat posed by Luke and the awakening Titan Kronos.
Season 3 Adds Children of Hades
While excitement for Season 2 is in full swing, Rick Riordan surprised fans with a major announcement about Season 3: the introduction of two beloved characters from the book series—Nico di Angelo and his sister, Bianca.
Levi Chrisopulos has been cast as Nico, a fan-favorite character known for his shadowy powers and complex emotional arc. He will join the show as a series regular. Olive Abercrombie is set to play Bianca di Angelo in a recurring role. The siblings, children of Hades, are set to bring darker and more mysterious mythological elements to the story as the show begins production on its third season.

Immersive Experience at Comic-Con
To celebrate all the Percy Jackson news, Disney also launched The Percy Jackson Experience just outside the San Diego Convention Center. This immersive activation allowed fans to “go beyond the mist” and enter a mythological world filled with interactive elements from the show.
With Season 1 already streaming and two more adventures in the works, Percy Jackson and the Olympians is proving to be one of Disney+’s most exciting young adult series. Whether you’re a longtime reader or a new fan, the journey into Camp Half-Blood and beyond is just getting started.
