It was a “rough morning” at Magic Kingdom Park.

As perhaps the most popular of the four Central Florida Disney parks, Magic Kingdom Park is often the busiest. Disney Resort hotel guests rush by Cinderella Castle to “rope-drop” during Early Theme Park Entry, hoping for lower wait times on popular rides like Space Mountain and Seven Dwarfs Mine Train.

Lines are longer than ever at Magic Kingdom Park as two new attractions–TRON Lightcycle / Run and Tiana’s Bayou Adventure—simultaneously use Virtual Queues to minimize wait times. Guests who would spend hours queueing for new rides are spread in lines across Fantasyland, Tomorrowland, Liberty Square, Frontierland, Adventureland, and Main Street, U.S.A.

A ride breakdown can severely impact wait times throughout the rest of Magic Kingdom Park, exacerbating existing issues. On Wednesday morning, guests who rope-dropped Seven Dwarfs Mine Train fell victim to this phenomenon.

Redditor u/Additional-Cheek2427 rushed to Seven Dwarfs Mine Train on Wednesday morning and got in line with their family. Unfortunately, the roller coaster broke down as they boarded.

“We rope dropped [Magic Kingdom],” the Disney Park guest explained. “One of the first in line and made it to Seven Dwarfs only to have it close as we are getting on the ride. Luckily they gave us [Lightning Lane] passes to come back.”

Reassured by the free Lightning Lane passes, the guest decided to take their toddler on a nearby family-friendly ride: The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh. But the guest’s unlucky streak continued.

“Went over to Pooh so our toddler could ride and it was closed as well,” they said. “Rough morning for rides at [Magic Kingdom].”

Even though it was the last day of their Walt Disney World Resort vacation, the family took the issues in stride and made the most out of their morning at Magic Kingdom Park.

“Not freaking out at all,” the guest said. “Still got three rides in before open of the park.”

Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh reopened shortly after their Wednesday morning downtime. Both Disney Park attractions were operating normally at the time of this article’s publication.
