Given the show’s gargantuan fan following, it’s safe to say that it’s exceedingly difficult to dislike Bluey. The little blue heeler from the land down under has taken the world by storm. Very few animated series have caused quite the cultural stir that Bluey, Bingo, and the rest of Brisbane’s cartoon dog population have. Judging from the footage below, it seems they’ve also made friends with one of Disney’s biggest boybands.

The video comes from the Jonas Brothers’ latest performance in Bluey’s native Brisbane, and what better way to warm up the crowd than with an intro inspired by the beloved children’s cartoon? As Nick, Joe, and Kevin came onto the stage, they were given the Dance Mode treatment seen in the show’s opening sequence, and the fans were only too happy to join in.

Given the concert’s location and the show’s ever-increasing popularity, it’s only natural that any band would want to reference something that culturally distinctive. Of course, the fact that the Joe Bros are also fans of the series doesn’t hurt things either.

Known for such hits as “SOS,” “Burnin’ Up” and the ever-catchy “Year 3000,” the band was a huge part of the Disney Channel era beloved by a sea of fans. While it might make most ’00s kids out there feel a bit old, the Jonas Brothers are all fathers with kids who all absolutely adore Bluey. Like most parents exposed to the show, and have even stated that Bluey has officially “taken over their homes.”
Per The Project, Kevin Jonas shared,
“Bluey is a big thing in, I think, all of our households. It is specifically a big win. The new episodes just came out in the U.S. a couple of weeks ago. We had a movie premiere night, like a Bluey premiere night, at our household.”

While the sentiments about the little blue dog held by the brothers are becoming more or less universal with each passing day, could their fandom be recognized by the Bluey creators at Ludo Studios? The caption in their official video even questions the possibility of an episode featuring the band, and the studio definitely noticed.

Along with sharing the band’s video above, Ludo further teased a much-desired crossover event as Bluey’s official Instagram shared an image of the Terriers wearing corresponding Nick, Joe, and Kevin shirts in support of the band and their visit. Could this be a hint at a future partnership between the two entities?

This wouldn’t be the first time the show has introduced a famous celebrity or three into its colorful canine world, as Bluey has featured the likes of Natalie Portman, Robert and Bindi Irwin, and even Hamilton’s own Lin-Manuel Miranda. With that information, the Jonas Brothers were only the next logical step.
Although no official statement has been given by the Jonas Brothers, Ludo Studios, or even Disney+, the desire to see the band get cartoon dog versions mingling with the Heelers and all their friends is definitely strong. The pieces are there, but the powers involved have simply yet to put them together.
