After earning an Emmy nomination for his performance in Lovecraft Country (2020), actor Jonathan Majors was considered the next big star in Hollywood. Majors soon garnered additional critical acclaim for performances in major films like Devotion (2022), Magazine Dreams (2023), and Creed III (2023) with Michael B. Jordan.
Soon, Majors would be brought into the Marvel Cinematic Universe to portray Kang the Conqueror, the next villain to face the Avengers. He would first play variants of the character in Loki and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania (2023) before taking an even more significant role in Avengers: The Kang Dynasty (2026) and Avengers: Secret Wars (2027).
All of this momentum would come to a halt after Jonathan Majors was arrested in New York City on assault, strangulation, and harassment charges from a domestic dispute with his then-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari. The allegation has since led to Majors losing a commercial deal with the United States Army as well as his representation with Entertainment 360 and the Lede Company.
Since then, there has been a whirlwind of testimonies and evidence claiming that Jabbari was the one who assaulted Majors, not the other way around. On top of that, Majors’ attorney, Priya Chaudhry, has claimed they have footage proving that Jabbari was not harmed. However, this has been refuted by a new filing from the legal team representing Grace Jabbari.

Despite attempts to portray Jonathan Majors as the victim, a new filing from Grace Jabbriya’s legal team has depicted moments that paint the event in a different light. Not only was there the revelation of a potentially similar event happening in London in 2022 but new details describe how the alleged assault occurred.
Trigger Warning: Depictions of Physical Abuse
According to the filing, the couple took a car from a Brooklyn party to their apartment in Chelsea on March 25, 2023. She then saw a text message on his cell phone, which allegedly read, “Wish I was kissing you right now.” She then took the phone out of his hand to see who he was texting.
Majors then “began grabbing the right side of Ms. Jabbari’s body and prying Ms. Jabbari’s right middle finger off the phone, causing bruising, swelling, and substantial pain.” The filing continues, saying the actor “then grabbed Ms. Jabbari’s arm and right hand and proceeded to twist Ms. Jabbari’s forearm, causing substantial pain to her finger and arm. The defendant then struck Ms. Jabbari’s right ear, causing a laceration to the back of her ear and substantial pain.”
After taking the phone, Jonathan Majors left the vehicle, and Grace Jabbari attempted to follow him. The filing then states that “the defendant grabbed her, picked her up, and threw her back inside … [and] sustained substantial pain, including a fractured finger, bruising about her body, a laceration behind her right ear, and a bump on her head.”

The filing also denies the claim that there is surveillance footage showing that Jabbari is “completely unharmed,” saying that it instead shows the plaintiff “visibly upset, crying, and seeking help from strangers to get an Uber cab home.”
If all of this is true, then no amount of public appearances with Meagan Good will help him.
